Each year during Pyrkon Convention you get the chance to meet amazing Guests representing different fields of science fiction and fantasy – literature, comics, films, computer games and many more. Our Guests arrive from Poland as well as from abroad to join Author's meetings, lectures, discussion panels and to meet the fans.

Graham Masterton

Born in Edinburgh in 1946, world-class author of horrors and sex instruction books. He was the editor of male's magazine 'Mayfair', and at 24 became chief editor of 'Penthouse' and 'Penthouse Forum'. His debut as a novelist was 'Manitou' released in 1976. Three of his novels became part of Tony's Scott's series 'The Hunger'. Publishing in 'Cosmopolitan', 'Man's Health', 'Woman', 'Woman's Own', 'Nowa Fantastyka' and others. Author of such series like 'Rook', 'Sissy Sawyer', 'Nathan Underhill', 'Night Warrior' and some historical fiction. Awarded many prestigious prizes, among others: Special Edgar by Mystery Writers of America, Silver Medal by the West Coast Review of Books and Prix Julia Verlanger (as the only non-French author). His wife Wiescka was of Polish origin and they both liked Poland a lot. They have three sons.




John Wick

Born in 1968. He is best known for creating two systems: 'Legend of the Five Rings' (1995) and '7th Sea' (1999), both properties of 'Alderac Entertainment Group'. After abandoning AEG he worked for 'Totally Games', where he designed, wrote and helped to develop Xbox's blockbuster 'Orkworld'. He than worked on many more projects like 'Neopets', 'Houses of the Blooded' and many more. In 2009 he set up his own company, 'John Wick Presents' which publishes books and board games. He has also cooperated with British publishing house 'Cubicle 7'. He received seven prizes for the best collectible card games and the best RPG systems.




Miroslav Žamboch

Czech fantasy and science fiction writer, known in Poland for his fantasy novels about Koniáš ("Na ostřích čepelí", "Ostří oceli"), world-spanning adventures of Agent John Francis Kovar, and Bakly. So far seventeen of his novels have been published in Poland. Žamboch has visited Poland before, for instance during Pyrkon 2008. In private he's a nuclear physicist, a lover of extreme sports (mountain climbing, downhill cycling), and an amateur boxer.
