General provisions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. The Rules and Regulations of the Foto Pyrkon 2026 Cosplay Photo Contest (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations) contain provisions applicable to all participants of the Foto Pyrkon 2026 Cosplay Photo Contest, hereinafter referred to as the &#8220;Contest&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. The contest is organized by Klub Fantastyki &#8220;Druga Era&#8221; Association in Pozna\u0144, ul. Kaliska 22A apt. 23 61-131 POZNA\u0143, NCR (KRS):<strong> <\/strong>0000207209 (hereinafter referred to as the &#8220;Organiser&#8221;). The coordinator of the contest is Zofia Skowro\u0144ska.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. The Organiser declares that the Contest is not a game of chance, a lottery, a mutual bet, a promotional lottery, the outcome of which depends on chance, or any other form of random game provided for in the Gambling Act of 19 November 2009 (in the wording in force during the Contest)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. The final of the Contest takes place during the Pyrkon Fan Convention held in Pozna\u0144 at the Pozna\u0144 International Fair from June 19-21, 2026 (hereinafter referred to as &#8220;Pyrkon 2026&#8221;).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. The task of the Contest participants is to send, within the time limit specified in these Regulations, a &#8220;cosplay photograph&#8221; taken by the participant themselves, based on their own idea and subject it to individual evaluation by the jury of the Contest.&nbsp; &#8220;Cosplay photograph&#8221; means a photograph (photo) presenting a person or people in costumes, which are based on characters from films, TV series, anime, manga, comics, video games, animated films or series, Japanese music or stage musicals. Costumes must have official references, therefore own characters and fanart are not allowed in this contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Each entry must be submitted by means of a form available on the pyrkon.pl website and approved by the contest coordinator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. The contest is open only to photographers who are at least eighteen years old and reside in Europe at the time of submitting the entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>II Conditions for participation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Each participant may submit three photographs. Each photograph must constitute a separate submission via the form<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cognitoforms.com\/Maskarada1\/PYRKONFOTOCOSPLAY2026CompetitionEntryForm\">https:\/\/www.cognitoforms.com\/Maskarada1\/PYRKONFOTOCOSPLAY2026CompetitionEntryForm<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. The contest&nbsp; is intended for people who photograph and edit cosplay photographs. One can use editing on the photo, but it should only be an addition to the photograph itself. The work submitted by the participant should be their own, the participant should own the copyright to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Participants in the Contest must have the written consent of all models who are featured in the photos submitted for evaluation. The application form includes a space to attach the consent. The participants must own rights to the photograph. In the event of a prior, paid transfer of rights to the model, the photographing participant must submit a written consent of the model to participate in the Contest and lend the rights in case of a prize. Participants in the Contest are fully obliged to take care of legal issues and the use of the image of models during the Contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.&nbsp; Only photographs taken after 01.01.2022 will be admitted to the contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. The submitted photos must be presentable to a wide audience, including people under 18 years of age. Entries containing the following topics will not be taken into account by the Organiser, whose decision in this matter is final:<br>1) containing content in breach of the law, morality or violating the personal rights of the Organiser or third parties,<br>2) infringing other rights of third parties, including copyrights or industrial property rights,<br>3) presenting erotic content, nudity, use of stimulants, suicidal themes, violence, vulgarity, hatred based on race, gender, ethnic or religious identity, political references.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. Photographs used in advertising campaigns promoting specific products are not allowed. The use of brands is prohibited. Billboards in the background, brands on packaging, store signs, etc. should be blurred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. It is forbidden to use excessive digital manipulation leading to a significant change in the natural shape of the model&#8217;s body. In particular, it is not allowed to modify the shape of the silhouette, deform the anatomy or interfere in a manner that would result in an unrealistic representation of the proportions of the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8. It is allowed to present photographs that have already been presented at contests at other events, provided that they were not awarded the main prize at that time (places from 2nd down and distinctions are allowed to participate in the Contest).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9. There are no restrictions on the number of people in the photo (however, each model must agree to participate in the contest).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10. The submitted photographs may be taken with the participation of animals, however, the process of taking photographs must not adversely affect them or cause them suffering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11. It is forbidden to use generative AI to edit the photo. Very extensive interference in the photo (changing the costume to a different one, adding props or elements that do not exist in the model&#8217;s environment) is not allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12. The Organiser emphasizes that people with disabilities and special needs are welcome to participate in the contest. The Organiser will make every effort to ensure that it is an equal, valuable experience for everyone. For all issues related to this contest, you can write to: strefacosplay@pyrkon.pl&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>13. The contest Participant declares that they agree to the free presentation of the photograph submitted to the contest during Pyrkon 2026, at the exhibition prepared by the Organiser at Pyrkon 2026, on the Pyrkon 2026 website and on Pyrkon 2026 social media channels. The participant of the competition declares that they agree to the Organiser providing free of charge physical media with photos submitted to the contest for charity purposes selected by the Organiser after the end of Pyrkon 2026. The Contest participant will not make any claims against the Organiser in this respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>14. By entering the contest, participants accept these rules and regulations. In matters not covered by these Regulations, the provisions of the General Rules and Regulations of Pyrkon shall apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>III The course of the contest<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. The contest is divided into three stages:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>May 30, 2026 The application submission stage. <strong>Applications are accepted until 23:59 on May 30, 2026 via the<\/strong> forms available on the website:\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>June 08, 2026 Selection of the finalists&#8217; works. The 35 best photographs out of all submitted applications will be selected for the Final of the contest. The participants will receive a list of selected finalists,\u00a0 whose works will be presented in the form of a printed exhibition during the Pyrkon Fan Convention, by e-mail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>June 19, 2026 The Final with the announcement of the results. A three-person jury appointed by the Organiser will select and announce the winners of the contest on the stage of the Cosplay Zone during the Pyrkon Fan Convention in Pozna\u0144. This will also be the time for the audience&#8217;s vote. Statuettes and awards will be presented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Participants should be prepared for the fact that the application form includes space for such elements as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The photo prior to being edited (in raw or <em>DNG., PEFF., CR2, or <\/em>unedited<em> JPEG\/TIFF format)<\/em>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The photo post editing (in raw or <em>DNG., PEFF., CR2, JPEG\/TIFF format)<\/em>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photos should be described according to the following format<em>: photographer-name_model-name_raw.dng <\/em>and\u00a0 <em>photographer-name_model-name_edit.jpg\u00a0 <\/em>\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Incomplete and overdue applications will not considered.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. The jury consists of three well-known specialists related to cosplay photography and graphics. Jury deliberations are fully confidential, and the files made available for competition purposes, both the unedited and edited ones, will not be published outside of being presented to the jury at the time. Judges are obliged to keep their deliberations confidential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. The selection of winners takes place based on the jury deliberations and the vote of the audience in the appropriate category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. After the end of the contest, the jury will be available to provide feedback on the competition works to interested participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>V Prizes and contest categories<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. The prizes in the competition are prizes in kind, cash and commemorative statuettes, made by the sculptor Robert Tomak. The prizes will be awarded on the basis of an explicit decision of the jury.<br>2. The jury selects the winners in the following categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u201cGRAND PRIX\u201d. A prize of 1,000 euros and a statuette made by the sculptor Robert Tomak.<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong> <\/strong>The best photo of the competition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The &#8220;Best editing&#8221; category. A prize of 300 euros.<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong> <\/strong>A photo that gained artistic value thanks to neat, precise editing.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The &#8220;Framed emotions&#8221; category. A prize of 300 euros.<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong> <\/strong>A photograph that reflects emotions in a believable and moving way.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The &#8220;Unconventional&#8221; category. A prize of 300 euros.<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong> <\/strong>The photo is surprising in terms of formal solutions or its subject matter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The &#8220;Movement and Dynamics&#8221; category. A prize of 300 euros.<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>A photograph showing an object in motion, in particular the impact of movement on the costume.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The &#8220;Composition&#8221; category. A prize of 300 euros.<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>A photograph with the best composition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The &#8220;Spectacular use of light&#8221; category. A prize of 300 euros.<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>A photo taken with the best use of natural or artificial light, where lighting is a key aspect of the photo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The &#8220;Portrait\/Self-Portrait&#8221; category. A prize of 300 euros.<\/strong><br>A portrait photo (can be a self-portrait), presenting an artistic image of a person or group, emphasizing character traits.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>3. The following criteria will be taken into account in the evaluation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the quality and diligence of taking photographs in relation to the subject matter of the contest,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>technical difficulty level in taking photographs (lighting, editing, the frame, etc.),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>originality and ingenuity of interpretation of the contest&#8217;s theme,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>consistency of the vision with the nature of the presented character,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the message behind the photo, the impact it has on the viewer,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the composition of the photo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>4. The prizes will be given to the winners on the spot or within 30 days from the date of the contest results announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Participation in the Contest is completely voluntary and free of charge. The Contest Participant has no right to demand reimbursement of financial expenditures incurred in the preparation, application, or participation in the Competition.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. Members of the immediate family of employees or associates of the Organiser and the Jury may not participate in the Contest. Immediate family members shall be understood as ascendants, descendants, and next of kin in a direct line, as well as siblings, ascendants, descendants, and relatives by marriage up to the third degree in the collateral line (including spouses, siblings&#8217; spouses, and parents-in-law), and persons in an adoptive relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. The Organiser reserves the right to request Participants whose entries are incomplete or contain errors, or who have incorrectly filled out the entry form, to supplement or correct their submission. The Organiser shall set a deadline of 2 calendar days for such corrections or completions, under the penalty of disqualification from the Contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Contest, the right to change the date of the Contest results announcement, and the right not to select all winners. The Organiser also reserves the right to select reserve winners from among the Contest Participants, who shall receive the prize in the event that the Winner or Winners fail to confirm acceptance of the prize, fail to collect the prize, waive the prize, or if circumstances arise that disqualify the respective Winner or Winners from the Contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>VI The Jury<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>1.The jury consists of Pyrkon guests who specialize in cosplay photography and digital post-processing. The persons assessing the photographs are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pugoffka \u2013 a cosplayer and photographer from Ukraine. Her adventure with photography began in 2009 and since then she has done thousands of photo shoots. Thanks to her work, she had the opportunity to travel around the world and be a guest at over 70 international events. She regularly conducts photographic workshops. She owns a photo studio for cosplayers, where new set designs and locations are constantly explored. The artist actively works to promote cosplay \u2013 both in Ukraine and abroad.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Omaru \u2013 also known as James, is a Filipino photographer and video creator based in Paris. He specializes in creating dynamic visual stories \u2013 both in the form of photos and videos. The artist has been actively associated with the French cosplay community since 2009. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with major gaming industry brands such as Riot Games, Bethesda, Ubisoft, and Activision Blizzard, delivering high-quality visual projects that blend creativity with a distinct brand identity. He is known for his signature use of natural light \u2013 his style combines atmosphere, emotions and realism, giving each work a cinematic character.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Natalia Zahora \u2013 Polish cosplay photographer. She started in 2004 as a cosplayer, organiser of manga conventions and juror of costume and photographic competitions. Since 2008, together with her husband, she has been running the first cosplay photo studio in Poland, Zahora, later known as Cosplayscape. Today, she works as a graphic designer and photographer. In costume photography, she combines the experience of a cosplayer with the eye of an artist specializing in framing and retouching. This allows her to capture not only the costume itself but also the atmosphere and story of the portrayed character. She focuses primarily on interesting, well-matched locations and practical effects, such as the use of fire, lighting dynamics, and underwater scenes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>VII Disqualifications<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>1. Depending on the severity of the offense, the Organiser may issue a warning or disqualify the participant (that may include refusing further participation in the current edition of the contest, excluding them from the final scoring, and barring them from participation in future editions).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Warnings and disqualification are considered by the contest coordinator in the following cases:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the participant showed unsportsmanlike behavior, in particular lack of polite behavior towards other participants of the contest or convention staff,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>there was verbal or physical violence on the part of the participant towards another convention goer,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the photograph or costume contained themes generally considered rude, offensive, illegal, or contrary to public morals, or included political references or other content that could infringe upon any person&#8217;s personal rights, as discussed in point II.5 of these Regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Each case of warning or disqualification is considered individually by the contest coordinator. The decision of the coordinator is final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>VIII Personal data<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Detailed information on the processing of personal data <a href=\"https:\/\/pyrkon.pl\/en\/appendix-no-1-to-the-regulations-of-pyrkon-fan-convention\/\">https:\/\/pyrkon.pl\/zalacznik-nr-1-do-regulaminu-festiwalu-fantastyki-pyrkon-2026\/<br><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IX. Copyrights:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. The Contest Participant declares that, at the time of submitting the contest entry:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1)&nbsp; they hold full rights, including copyrights and related rights, to every element of the contest entry;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2)&nbsp; they grant the Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free license, unlimited in time and territory, to use the works included in the contest entry in the following fields of exploitation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>a) reproduction;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>b) recording on all media known at the time of the Agreement, in particular on CD-ROM, DVD, and VCD of any format and type, as well as on optical and magneto-optical discs;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>c)&nbsp; permanent or temporary reproduction by any technique known at the time of the Agreement, in whole or in part, to the extent that its reproduction is necessary for dissemination, distribution, display, use, transmission, and storage;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>d) storing in computer memory;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>e) public dissemination, including placing on the market, lending, rental, or leasing of the software and documentation or copies thereof;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>f) translation, reproduction, and publication by means of printing, digital, and reprographic techniques, as well as by magnetic and optical recording;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>g)&nbsp; lending, sharing or handing over copies;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>h)&nbsp; digitization;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>i)&nbsp; presentation in whole or in part, on a computer or Internet network and on any media;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>j) public performance, exhibition, display, reproduction, broadcasting and re-broadcasting, as well as making the work publicly available\u2014or portions thereof\u2014in such a way that everyone can have access to it from a place and at a time chosen by them;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>X.
