Listing all the musical influences of this year’s Open Air Stage guests in one breath is nearly impossible. From punk rock to alternative metal \u2013 even the most discerning electric guitar and drum enthusiast will leave the stage satisfied \u2013 of course, after demanding encores. It’s time for performances by artists who see everything with the kind of perspective only possible from aboard a space station. Meet our guests!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

They will roll over the stage like a bulldozer \u2013 \u0141ydka Grubasa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

They started as a concert joke and have never abandoned their sharp humor. Their music freely blends genres such as reggae, folk metal, and groove. They released their first studio album, “B\u0105\u017c Woa,” in 2010, and in 2022, they embarked on their anniversary tour, “Jokes Aside: \u0141ydka Grubasa\u2019s 20th Anniversary.” During this tour, they recorded a special concert at Krak\u00f3w’s Studio Club with a brass section and guest appearances by artists such as Zenek Kupatasa and Grzegorz Halama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band has released five studio albums, performed at all major Polish festivals\u2014including multiple appearances on the Main Stage at Pol’and’Rock\u2014and played hundreds of club gigs. The band has won the “Golden B\u0105czek” award and achieved double platinum status from ZPAV for their single “Rapapara.” Their songs garner millions of views on streaming platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With their lyrics, the band takes a humorous look at the world, finding plenty of opportunities to joke about the absurdities of existence. During concerts, they prove to be a true volcano of positive energy, engaging the audience in their spectacle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fans of tabletop RPGs may be interested to know that the band’s bassist, Artur Wszeborowski, contributed to the latest Polish edition of “Call of Cthulhu”! His scenarios can be found in the “Shadows of the Tatras” rulebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 15, he founded the band Kabanos, which he led for 21 years as frontman, vocalist, and songwriter. He has numerous studio albums, compilations, EPs, and singles to his name. With Kabanos, he recorded albums such as “Z\u0119by w \u015bcian\u0119”, “Flaki z olejem”, “Kie\u0142bie we \u0142bie”, “Dramat wsp\u00f3\u0142czesny”, “Odgrzewane kotlety”, and “Balonowy Album”, which won the Antyradio award for “Album of the Year 2015.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2016, he launched his solo career, releasing 10 albums under his own name, including “Darmowe Przytulasy”, “O!” (2020), and “Rezyliencja I: Tak 3ma\u0107!” (2022). His latest album, “Rezyliencja II: Jakie to jest pi\u0119kne”, was released in 2023. Besides his musical career, Zenek has worked as a music journalist and holds a degree in media psychology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His concerts are known for direct interaction with the audience, often involving fans and creating a shared atmosphere of fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They will turn life into a western \u2013 Pull The Wire<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Although the band\u2019s history dates back to 2005, its current form was established only four years ago with the release of “\u017bycie to Western”. Recognized in rock circles, the band has played on the biggest festival stages in Poland (including Pol’and’Rock, Rockowizna, Jarocin, CieszFan\u00f3w, MateriaFest, Rock na Bagnie, Zew si\u0119 Budzi, Czochraj Bobra, and Czad Festival) while also opening for international stars such as M\u00f6tley Cr\u00fce, Def Leppard, Billy Talent, Rise Against, and Anti-Flag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2023, the band received the “Golden B\u0105czek” audience award from Jurek Owsiak on the Main Stage at Pol’and’Rock Festival for their performance in 2022. This award is highly valued, as past recipients include Nocny Kochanek, Kwiat Jab\u0142oni, Hey, D\u017cem, T.Love, Lao Che, Coma, Hunter, Enej, \u0141ydka Grubasa, and Happysad. 2024 sees them once again on the biggest festival stages in Poland, playing to packed clubs nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band has released four studio albums\u2014”W Polsce jest ogie\u0144”, “Negatyw”, “Sztuka Przemijania”, and the aforementioned “\u017bycie to Western.” Four singles from the latter album reached the top of Antyradio\u2019s Turbotop charts, with three making it to second place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Excellent streaming numbers, a devoted fan base, appearances at top festivals such as Pol’and’Rock, Jarocin, Rockowizna, and Zew si\u0119 Budzi\u2014all are the result of years of hard work, memorable lyrics, catchy melodies, and, above all, high-energy concerts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
