A year later, the release of Sunlight<\/em> followed, which still enjoys great popularity. It was also the group\u2019s farewell to writing songs in languages other than their native Polish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Their 2024 album Panny M\u0142ode<\/em> (Brides<\/em>) marked a new era in the band\u2019s history and set the course they would follow. In Lor\u2019s latest release, we find a continuation of these motifs \u2013 the brides got married. Hollywood Wives<\/em> have become more mature \u2013 exploring new topics and commenting on different areas of life, different emotions, different impressions. The album \u2013 as is typical for Lor \u2013 is full of feeling, sensations, colors, and sounds. This time, however, it is split into two types of experiences \u2013 Wives<\/em>, the more personal and intimate part, and Hollywood<\/em>, a commentary on the surrounding world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Critics praise the ease and freshness with which the band plays with musical conventions and genres \u2013 from pop, through indie, to folk. Their shows are not only a blend of electronics and guitar riffs, but also a visual performance featuring a dancer and live fire, complemented by the distinctive vocal timbre of Yu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The band has released numerous singles and a debut album, Tales from Another Life, which came out in June 2023 in collaboration with the German label darkTunes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They have been performing non-stop since the start of their journey in 2020. They’ve appeared several times at Poland\u2019s Castle Party Festival in Bolk\u00f3w, Prague Gothic Treffen in the Czech Republic, Schattenwelt Festival in Austria, and European Dark Dance Treffen in Germany.
