The LEGO Fan Zone is a place where imagination really knows no boundaries, and this year’s edition only confirms it! During Pyrkon 2026, unusual exhibitions await you, which combine the world of LEGO bricks with pop culture, illustration and photography. Among the invited guests, you will be able to see, among others, Bionicle Project Poland \u2013 a newly formed group of Polish fans who shared their delight and sentiment for the LEGO BIONICLE series. Maciej Mandrysz, a draughtsman, who will present a gallery of his unique works will be yet another guest of the zone. You will also be able to see the “LEGO Multiverse” exhibition by Micha\u0142 “Ryba” Rybicki and meet its creator and Tomek Lasek, who will showcase an exhibition presenting photographs of LEGO bricks at Pyrkon.\u00a0

The creators of the exhibition, whose love for the LEGO BIONICLE series does not fade, create MOCs, arts, cultivate memory and, above all, want to share their passion with others so that BIONICLE as a significant branch of pop culture can survive for decades to come.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the zone, you will be able to see the full collection of sets, dozens of author’s works, take a picture in a mask and holding the weapon of your favorite TOA, play iconic video games, or build your own Bionicle. There are also competitions with prizes and other attractions planned. The people involved in the project include, among others:<\/span><\/p>\n

Mateusz Gajos<\/b> \u2013 participant of the 5th season of LEGO Masters, aviation engineer and huge LEGO enthusiast. You could see his works during last year’s edition of the convention. He also helps create the set design for LEGO group ads and campaigns. He won the Red Bull Flugtag contest.<\/span><\/p>\n

Filip Ostojski<\/b> \u2013 an experienced exhibitor and cosplayer, involved not only in the Polish Bionicle community, including the founding of the Polish Bionicle Discord server, he is also an officer of the Griffin Faction \u2013 a group from the Stalker fandom.<\/span><\/p>\n

Neme <\/b>\u2013 one of the few Bionicle cosplayers. He started his adventure with cosplay in 2018. He is a stage design student who tries his hand at cosplay competitions one step at a time.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Other members include Dertus<\/span>, Fnezj, Gerat, Netrus and Karbon \u2013 <\/b>cosplayers and creators from different worlds, who shared a passion for Bionicle, Star Wars, anime or forklifts.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Maciej Mandrysz \u2013 another fantastic guest of the LEGO Fan Zone

His adventure with art began with photography. Maciej became known on social media as “fotobrick” \u2013 CD Projekt RED distinguished his photo depicting a figurine version of Geralt on its official channels. Shortly afterwards, the artist joined the Let’s Go Build group as a graphic designer and photographer.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2020, he decided to expand his skills \u2013 after several digital drawing courses, he began drawing minifigures, which turned out to be an absolute hit. This resulted in cooperation with Brodaty Geek, one of the leading creators of brick-related content.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Maciej also established cooperation with the owner of the”Bricks & Figs” LEGO Museum developing in Krakow \u2013 as part of this cooperation, for over two years he designed and created the visual side of the museum, not only in social media, but also at conventions, exhibitions or in the advertising space.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, his portfolio is filled with illustrations created for the most popular Polish brick influencers, such as Ciocia od Klock\u00f3w, Lloyd Malina, Klockowizja, Mateusz Kustra, Zapalski Bricks and many others. His colorful, positive style is also reaching fans from abroad more and more often, for whom he loves to create personalized, humorous images. Maciej is also the author of the logo and some graphic materials for the largest brick convention in Poland\u00a0 \u2013 “Klockon”.<\/span><\/p>\n

At Pyrkon, you will be able to see a gallery of his works sponsored by the Bricks & Figs Museum in Krakow \u2013 colourful, humorous illustrations in which the artist hides many small details. These are images that \u2013 like playing with bricks\u2013 activate the imagination and allow everyone to tell their own story.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In his great exhibition, Micha\u0142 shows various worlds known from pop culture, which he combines with “interdimensional portals”, which makes everything possible in his works. His exhibition expands every year with additional universes and evolves.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition shows the adventures of travelers, researchers, traders, spies and diplomats who traverse the vast multiverse using a network of mysterious portals. In this world, Eleven goes on joint missions with S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Elrond and T\u2019Challa oversee the operation of an interdimensional intelligence network, and Doctor Strange can ask Albus Dumbledore for advice. LEGO allows you to tell this story and provides its own characters to add to this explosive mix.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Tomek Lasek, known on Instagram as Tomek Skog, has been proving for years that small figurines can tell great stories. For over a decade, he has been photographing LEGO minifigures, placing them in various scenes and bringing them to life in frames full of humor and emotion. His photos are more than just playing with scale, perspective or light. These are visual narratives that can transport the viewer to distant, often fantastic worlds \u2013 even if in reality the protagonists of these photos never leave the four walls of the apartment, and sometimes even… the kitchen table top.<\/span><\/p>\n

Soaked in influences from pop culture, literature and science, Tomek creates a peculiar mixture of inspiration in his imagination. Over time, it evolves into ideas that often surprise even himself. Their effect is usually playful, puckish images, although sometimes the author also smuggles in more subtle observations and reflections on the reality around us \u2014 or its simulacrum, if you prefer.<\/span><\/p>\n

As an active member of the Toy Photographers community, Tomek is not limited to sharing his passion on the community’s blog, but actively co-creates this international environment. He acts as a community manager, as well as a community ambassador in relations with the LEGO company as part of the LEGO Ambassador Network program, addressed to adult fans of the Danish bricks \u2013 AFOLs.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2019, his work penetrated beyond the boundaries of fandom for a moment. This was due to a photograph showing a minifigure version of Olga Tokarczuk, prepared on the occasion of awarding her the Nobel Prize, which attracted the attention of the mainstream media.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n
