Lovers of cosplay photography have something to be excited about. A new photography contest is just starting \u2013 for those, who look for in their pictures for something more than just a perfect image of the costume. It\u2019s an initiative for creators boldly experimenting with light, capturing ephemeral emotions and capturing a whole story in one picture.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

About the Pyrkon Foto Cosplay contest<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Do you create photos that showcase more than costume detail, but mostly bring the character to life: convey their personality and story? Is the atmosphere of the world you\u2019re presenting important: be it mood, tension, magic or darkness? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Pyrkon Foto Cosplay contest is for you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n


It is the emotions and narrative that are at the center of attention \u2013 because the best photos are those that can transport the viewer to another reality and allow them to immerse themselves in it completely for a moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each participant can submit up to three own photographs \u2013 each in a separate form \u2013  presenting a cosplay based on existing characters from movies, games, anime, comic books or musicals. Editing is permitted, but it should enhance the picture, not be its basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The contest is open for photographers over 18 years of age from all over Europe, so you can expect an international level of works! The final will take place at Pyrkon, where the best works will be presented in a special exhibition in the Cosplay Zone in Hall 7A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Submissions are open until May 30, 2026 (Sunday), 11:59 PM!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember, there are no restrictions on the number of people in the photo \u2013 but each model must agree to participate in the contest!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a space for photographers and cosplayers alike, who can combine technical skills with artistic vision that captures the audience\u2019s heart.
