The Manga and Anime Zone at Pyrkon is not only meetings with creators, panels and workshops, but also unique concerts! Every year, artists from Japan, whose music accompanies the largest anime, appear on our stage. This is a unique opportunity to hear songs that we associate with our favorite openings and endings on a daily basis live on stage. This year we have a real treat for you – performing at Pyrkon will be ASCA – a singer whose songs have been loved by millions of fans around the world!
ASCA – Voice of Sword Art Online and Fate
If you’ve watched Sword Art Online: Alicization or Fate/Apocrypha, you know her music! ASCA debuted in 2017, winning the hearts of fans with the ending entitled “KOE” to Fate/Apocrypha, but it was the opening of “RESISTER” to Sword Art Online: Alicization that brought her a real breakthrough. From that moment on, her songs began to appear in the biggest anime and on the charts.
However, ASCA’s work goes much further! She created music for such titles as “Howling” (The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc), “Shion no Hanabusa wo” (The Irregular at Magic High School: Ancient City Insurrection Arc) or “FACELESS”, the opening to Bye, Bye, Earth. Her characteristic, strong vocals and emotional performances make her songs stay with the listener for a long time.
Step by step – the history of the singer’s career
ASCA’s music has accompanied anime fans around the world for years. What was her path to success? Here are the key moments in her career:
- 2017 – her debut with the single “Koe”, the ending for Fate/Apocrypha.
- 2019 – a great breakthrough thanks to the opening entitled “RESISTER” for Sword Art Online: Alicization and the ending entitled “Hibari” for the Fate series. Her first album “Hyakka Ryoran” hit the charts.
- 2020 – a premiere of the song “Howling”, the opening for The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc.
- 2021 – her second album “Hyakki Yagyo” and performances at the most important Japanese anime festivals.
- 2024 – back with new music!
- March – the premiere of the “VIVID” album.
- June – ending entitled “Shion no Hanabusa wo” for The Irregular at Magic High School: Ancient City Insurrection Arc.
- August – opening entitled “FACELESS” for Bye, Bye, Earth.
- November – new single “Ashita Sekai ga Owarutoshitemo” and solo concerts in Seoul and Hong Kong.
