How to get here
Poznan is very well connected with the rest of the country. So there are several ways to get to the capital of Greater Poland.
TRAIN
To check the current train schedule, we recommend using the search engine on the PKP website. To get to the site of the Poznań International Fair, you should get off at the Central Railway Station. From there, you will have only a few hundred meters to cover on foot.
BUS
We encourage you to use the websites of your local carriers to check connections. Poznań’s main bus station is integrated with the railway station, connected by the Avenida shopping mall. Whether you choose the bus or the train, the distance from the Poznań International Fair will remain the same.
CAR
Of course, you can also come to Poznań by car. Be warned, however, that the Fair’s location in the very center of Poznań makes it very difficult to find a free parking space there. Unfortunately, it is not possible to park on the grounds of the event itself, but from the side of Glogowska street there is the fair’s PWK parking lot.
AIRPLANE
Arriving in Poznań, you will end up at the Ławica Airport. From there, it takes about 20 minutes to reach the grounds of the Poznań International Fair. During the day you can use bus line 59, and at night line 242 – both will take you to the Kaponiera Roundabout. The Poznań International Fair grounds are located very close from this stop.
Getting around Poznań
As in recent years, Pyrkon badges serve as public transport tickets on buses and trams in zones A, B, C, and D.
In Poznań, there are timed tickets in use. They can be purchased from vending machines at bus stops and on buses, at kiosks, and, for night buses, from the driver. You can find the current schedule on the office website of the Public Transport Authority. All-day tickets punched after 8 pm on Friday are valid until 00:00 am on Sunday.
There is also a portal www.jakdojade.pl, which will make it easier for you to navigate using public transportation in Poznań.
How to Pyrkon?
We are also giving you our short guide with the most crucial information about Pyrkon. It is in the form of a pdf charmingly entitled How to Pyrkon!
Accommodation
Every adventurer must eventually stop for a while to regenerate, look at the map of their journey, and meet other heroes who share their fate. This is the second edition of Pyrkon during which we managed to prepare a safe oasis of calm, where you will rest from the hustle and bustle of the city and the convention, but you will not lose the fantastic spirit! Get your team together and head out to Pyrcamp!
Pyrcamp comes to the rescue!
Last year we joined forces with Scout Camp Poznań and together we created a place where you will connect with nature and your inner hero.
And because we like to provide choices – if you decide to spend the night at Pyrcamp, you can choose your character! You are brave and always prepared, set up your tent and create your own piece of encampment from scratch. However, if you prefer to get it over with – the Scout Camp Poznań team will prepare it for you! All you need to do is select additional options when registering and purchasing a Pyrcamp user ticket* (where there is one ticket per person) such as:
- Tent rental,
- Breakfast at the campground,
- Pyrcamp T-shirt (available for pre-order)
*The purchase of the “Pyrcamp user” ticket alone assumes that participants come with their own tent.
The choice is yours – either sleep or the fun continues!
Some heroes need to sleep to fruitfully continue their adventures. But some do the scouting and partying at night in great shape! For this very reason, at Pyrcamp you can choose which zone you want to sleep in!
- The Relaxation Zone – This is where you regain energy for further exploration at night. Take a breather from the hustle and bustle at a tent clearing away from the center, where nighttime curfew is in effect from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- The Magic Zone – As the name suggests, this is where the magic happens at night! Witches sit around bonfires, dwarves play dice with elves, and bards try to encourage the public to sing along. It is the perfect place for integration! For this reason, curfew is shorter here, from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
In addition, on site you will find various types of sanitary facilities in numbers suitable for registered participants, a catering area, a cafeteria, guarded campfire areas, a games area and much more.
Pyrcamp time and location
Scout Camp Poznan is located right next to Lake Strzeszyńskie. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of the city and surrounded by greenery. Although it may seem like the end of the world – Pyrcamp is well connected to the city center!
Scout Camp Poznań can be found at Koszalińska 32, 60-480 Poznań. By public transport, head to the “Strzeszynek” stop.
You can arrive at Pyrcamp as early as 13.06 from 6:00 p.m. and stay until the event closes on 17.06 at 11:00.
Tickets and contact
Get your team together today and find out what it’s like to be a Pyrcamp user! The first pool of tickets is available until the end of the year at www.pyrcamp.pl. What does it mean? Rest assured, there are enough tickets for everyone, however, not necessarily at the lowest price possible. 😉
After successful registration, expect more information in an e-mail, as well as in the dedicated app (about which more information can be found below) and on the pyrcamp social media on Facebook and Instagram.
In case you resign from Pyrcamp, tickets are non-refundable. In case you resign from Pyrcamp, tickets are non-refundable. However, it is possible to change the provided data for Pyrcamp after prior contact with the organizer at [email protected].
