We emphasize that Pyrkon is a Fantastic Meeting Place every chance we get and we’re not just all talk and no action. Get ready for a treat that the Polish LEGO scene has never seen before! We invited three mighty associations – with three different approaches to building, all sharing the same, undying passion to set up in Hall 8.
Most importantly: no half measures. Each of the associations will have its own powerful exhibition space. Not just a few showcases, but a specific area to show off original worlds and huge projects, which will transport you to a different world for a while.
Who’s up for building stuff together?
LUGPol – Are the “older brothers” of the Polish AFOL scene. Since 2004, they have set standards, proving that bricks are a medium for artists and historians. Their exhibition is a tribute to experience – you can expect designs that have decades of knowledge embedded in them.
Zbudujmy.to – If you think that you can’t build everything using LEGO, they will be the ones to show you how wrong you are. Masters of the MOC (My Own Creation) format. You will see giant mock-ups, from castles to full cities to space. A true paradise for fans of technology and large structures.
As a special bonus, add two lectures from this crew to your program list – one about the process of creating mega mockups, the other about the creation of figurines that LEGO has never released.
In addition to that, grab an invitation to a workshop during which you will test your construction skills in practice under the watchful eye of experts.
WAWLUG – A crew straight from the capital city of Warsaw, teeming with infectious enthusiasm. Their exhibitions are all about the pulse of the city, modern architecture and amazing integration. They use building as a great way to be together and create a local community.
Why is this event special?
Separately, each of these groups has its own unique style, history and character. Gathering them under one roof is almost like a conjunction of the planets – it is a brick-related “summit” and a unique event that is unlikely to happen again.
Thanks to this, you do not have to face the dilemma of where to go to see the best models – you have them all at Pyrkon! The greatest concentration of inspiration per square brick in the creative universe will be here, waiting for you.
Whether you’re building in the comfort of your own home or just admiring miniature worlds, these three separate exhibitions will create a brick map that you can’t miss.
