Our Literature Section will host another guest – Robert M. Wegner!
It is our great pleasure to announce that Robert M. Wegner will be this year’s guest of Pyrkon’s Literature Section. The author is most known for his fantasy book series“Opowieści z meekhańskiego pogranicza” (Tales from the Meekhan Frontier) He lives and works in Silesia, Poland. Pyrkon will be your chance to know more about him and his works.
Robert M. Wegner has received many literary awards, most notably the Jerzy Żuławski Literary Prize and the Polish Fandom’s Janusz Zeidel Award – he was awarded the latter six times. He also received the Sphinx Award two times and the Encouragement Award for promising European science fiction and fantasy writers granted by the European Science Fiction Society (ESFS).
Each book from his series “Opowieści z meekhańskiego pogranicza” tells stories of different protagonists. The books became famous not only in Poland. So far, they have been translated into Czech, Ukrainian. The rights to the book have also been acquired by an Egyptian publishing house.
