During this year’s convention, the Earth Hall will turn into an arena for an epic battle between legendary heroes and a dark sorcerer. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a part of the story, presented in an epic, power metal saga that will be forever etched in the memories of attendees!

Gloryhammer is a British band that gets the most out of the rich legacy of fantasy-inspired power metal bands. The lyrics of their songs are filled with a whole range of motifs that fuse together high fantasy and sci-fi: a laser blaster striking enemies down with the power of dark matter, magical dragons, an invasion of undead unicorns, and the legendary artifact that the band is named after, which was forged with the power of solar lasers. Their fans are very familiar with the style Gloryhammer adopts to tell their stories, and those who haven’t heard them yet are sure to appreciate the way the band toys with convention.

The arena for most of the events Gloryhammer sings about is the kingdom of Fife, with its capital in Dundee. It has been ruled by successive Angus McFifes for a thousand years – the last one was known as Angus, the thirteenth of that name.
The lyrics of Gloryhammer’s works focus on the dynasty’s struggle with the evil sorcerer Zargothrax, who swore to bring doom on its members after one of them ordered his house demolished while Dundee was being built.
A team of equally interesting characters serve as the kings of Fife’s helpers:
Hootsman – a cyborg-barbarian who founded the kingdom of California and became one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
Sir Proletius – grand master of the order of the Knights of Crail who, wounded by the Knife of Evil, became a servant of the Sorcerer
Ralathor – mysterious hermit and commander of the flying submarine D.S.S Hootsforce
All these characters are the stage alter-egos of the band members. Gloryhammer is not just music, it is also a performance – a unique combination of sound, light, costumes and an epic narrative that transports listeners to a completely different dimension.
