Tim Downie – The Wizard of Baldur’s Gate 3

Whether you know his silhouette from Les Misérables, King’s Speech or Good Omens or his voice from Baldur’s Gate 3, it is definitely worth finding time to meet our guest. You will have this opportunity all throughout Pyrkon! We start on Friday with a Q&A panel, Gale… I mean… Tim will be happy to answer your questions! On Saturday, there will be an opportunity to take a photo – prepare props and practice your poses! Saturday can be demanding when it comes to planning, even for experienced Pyrkon-goers. No worries! Tim will be available for authograph both on Saturday and Sunday!

The Witcher 3 dubbing, or the voices of our favorites

These voices need no introduction – you can hear Geralt, Triss and Yennefer live at Pyrkon! The actors dubbing our favorite characters from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will spend a lot of time with you on the first day of Pyrkon. During the Q&A panel, there will be answers to all questions – both ones that the guests can answer together and one by one – from curiosities about the dubbed character, through the voice-over work of Jacek and Adrian Rozenek Beata Jewiarz’s favorite poem, or Agnieszka Kunikowska’s first roles, to the process of localizing the game from Mikołaj Szwed’s perspective. There will also be plenty of time to get an autograph and a photo. We hope you haven’t filled your entire Friday yet…

To Znowu Oni… in the Gaming Zone!

Games, podcast, history, science, entertainment, lifestyle… Just like on their channel – you will also find a huge variety here. Are you curious about the secrets of production, their favorite button on the controller or… crabs? You simply must come to the Q&A panel. Your gallery is missing a photo of Kacper or Fangotten, or the signature of Mateusz, Grzegorz and Hed is missing from a poster? Drop by for a photo and an autograph. There are enough seats for everyone! Are you curious how the TzO crew will do when faced with LEGO bricks? We are too! Be sure to visit the LEGO Zone and see the challenge from Let’s Go Build!

Guests and lectures

For the hungry for knowledge, we provide a dose of exciting lectures. In the Gaming and Chamber Room this year you will meet, among others: Veritas Roleplay – a group of creators, and above all players with a passion for roleplay, Jakub Dzierżykraj-Stokalski – game director and main designer of Frostpunk, Michał Pisarski – creator of a YouTube channel devoted to games and gadgets, Marek Turbina – author of guides and lover of the game Don’t Starve Together and Ewa Bolińska – editor and publisher of the book Frostpunk.

Tournaments – from classics to new titles

We encourage all players – both experienced and beginners – to try their hand at competitions and tournaments. And this year there is an extraordinary number of them! Be sure to visit the DKiG and YOMI booths.

Dawne Komputery i Gry is a foundation that will ensure you have an unforgettable journey to the land of nostalgia. In their zone you will find dozens of stations where you will remember (or play for the first time!) retro games. PONG clones, Commodore 64, Atari 2600, NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Sega Master System, Windows XP PCs – you will feel like in an interactive museum. For those interested in a bit of competition, DKiG has prepared tournaments in games such as Quake III Arena, Super Mario Bros, Donkey Kong, River Raid, Yoomp!, Mario Kart 64 and Sensible World Of Soccer.

YOMI, the Poznań e-sports initiative, invites all lovers of fighting games. PlayStation 5 consoles will be waiting for all the eager players. This is a fantastic place and an opportunity to test tactics, try out your chosen character or take your friends and simply have fun. And if you are familiar with Tekken 8, Guilty Gear Strive or Street Fighter, be sure to sign up for the tournaments organized by YOMI. Compete with other Pyrkon-goers and win great prizes!

Attractions in the Gaming Hall

Don’t forget to check the map – this year we are moving to Hall 8A. Walking among the booths in the Gaming Hall, you will certainly not be bored.

There will be an opportunity to play, take part in competitions, test your knowledge in quizzes, as well as talk to exceptional guests of our zone and take part in workshops. And who will you find there? The zone will be prepared, among others, by Xbox, Bandai Namco, Bethesda, Nintendo, CDPR, Aim Controllers, CD-Action, Shooting Gallery and, of course, the aforementioned Veritas Roleplay, DKiG and YOMI. There will be so much more to see, so be sure to check out the hall map to find all the points of interest! It is also worth to mention the cosplay zone prepared by YOMI. Shooting ducks, game history, the world inspired by the Gothic saga, jumping on turtles, trivia and prizes are waiting for you!

AFK Zone – time for chillout

Tired of gaming highlights? Legs falling off from walking or playing Just Dance? Visit our special zone, where you will find a pouffe or a deckchair to recharge your batteries. We’ll make sure to provide power sockets to keep your consoles, phones and headphones working without interruption. It’s also a great place for a little socialising. Just sit back and play your favourite titles with your friends on your consoles!
