Surely we will find some Mass Effect fans here, who will be interested to know that the author of the Mass Effect Andromeda: Annihilation novelset in the well-known and loved game universe will be visiting Pyrkon 2020.
A few words about Catherynne M. Valente
Catherynne is an American poet, literary critic and writer, who wrote numerous novels and short stories set mainly within the fantasy convention It is one of the best-selling authors according to “The New York Times” as well as a journalist for “USA Today”. A couple of series she wrote have been published in Poland, so if you own any of her books, you simply must come to Catherynne’s autograph session!
In addition to the novel mentioned below, the plot of which is set in the Mass Effect universe, Catherynne also wrote among others the following: The Lenningrad Diptych (currently composed of the Deathless noves), The Orphan’s Tales (including two volumes, entitled: The Orphan’s Tales: In the Night Garden and The Orphan’s Tales: In the Cities of Coin and Spice as well as the Fairyland (here you can read as many as three volumes: The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making, The Girl Who Fell Beneath Fairyland and Led the Revels There and The Girl Who Soared Over Fairyland and Cut the Moon in Two).
Catherynne M. Valente graduated from the University of San Diego and Edinburgh with a degree in classical studies, she also spent a couple of years in Japan. After returning from the Cherry Blossom Land, she settled down on the coast of Maine along with her husband and son.
