The Comic Books Zone is a space where creativity, and superheroes come together in one place to inspire future and current creators. Another fantastic guest — Rafa Sandoval — is just joining this extraordinary mix!
Rafa Sandoval is a comic book artist from Spain. Throughout his career, has he worked for major comics studios such as DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and Valiant Entertainment. Currently, we know him best from drawing Absolute Superman for DC Comics Absolute, but be sure to check out what other superheroes he has to his credit!

Superhero Comics
Rafa was a big fan of comics from a young age – this passion led him to pursue a professional career. He took his first steps in the comic book world in 2007, working for the Spanish Disney animation studio. Working for Marvel Comics, where his first challenge was to co-create the Marvel Adventures: Iron Man comic book was a big step in his carreer. Then he worked on titles well-known by fans of this studio, including the Avengers, X-Men, Captain America, Wolverine, Hulk and many others. Later, he also worked at Valiant Entertainment, where he was responsible for creating both covers and comic book interiors.
In 2013, he started working for DC Comics. He is the one responsible for series such as Catwoman, The Flash, Superman, Action Comics, Green Lantern, Suicide Squad and many others. He is currently working on a completely new series of DC Comics Absolute comics, in which the main character is Absolute Superman.
Get a drawing and an autograph
You will be able to meet our guest at Pyrkon in several different places. As part of a lecture in the Comic Books Zone, there will be an opportunity to listen to stories about his experience in the comics industry and advice for people entering this world.
But you will also meet Rafa in the comic book part of the Artists and Collectors Alley. There, he will be doing a signing, during which you will not only be able to exchange a few words with him, but also get an autograph or a drawing.
We are convinced that the meeting with Rafa Sandoval will be extremely inspiring for many Pyrkon-goers. After all, our guest is the one behind the most important superhero comics from DC Comics, Marvel Comics and Valiant Entertainment! This is a vast experience experience that I am sure he will be happy to share with you. So, are you already preparing your comics for signature? :D)
