Qualifiers for the Pyrkon K-Pop Dance Cover Festival are starting!

Pyrkon K-Pop Dance Cover Festival is back! You’re invited to participate in the qualifiers for the dance competition, which will once again ignite the convention’s Fire Stage. It is a space for dance groups who want to present their skills, energy and stage presence while doing choreographies inspired by the K-Pop world.
What exactly is K-Pop?
For those of you who are not familiar with it: K-Pop is not only music, but a cultural phenomenon in which dance plays a key role. Characteristic choreographies, perfect synchronization, pronounced expression and refined visuals turn every performance into a small spectacle.
That’s why K-Pop has been attracting fans all over the world for years. Both those who regularly practice their own choreographies in dance halls and those who admire standing under the stage.
About the competition
Pyrkon K-Pop Dance Cover Festival is a dance competition in which participants perform choreographies inspired by Korean artists’ performances, while infusing them with their own pizzaz and stage expression. What is assessed is not only the precision and technique of movement, but also stage expression, emotions, and costumes as well as overall visual coherence.
It is a competition for those who want to show off on stage, test their skills while feeling the festival atmosphere and experience the real energy of a live performance.
- The qualifiers run until 30.03.2026.
- The competition finals will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
- The Fire Stage at the Pyrkon Fan Convention
There is something worth fighting for, because the prize pool is a whopping PLN 12,000:
- 1st place – PLN 6,000
- 2nd place – PLN 4,000
- 3rd place – PLN 2,000

First juror: Zbigniew Zasada
Speaking of technique, expression and stage quality, it’s time to introduce the first Pyrkon K-Pop Dance Cover Festival juror.
Zbigniew Zasada is one of the most experienced Polish dancers and choreographers, working in dance continuously since 1989. For 26 years of his active career, he performed in theaters, television productions and at prestigious dance tournaments, winning, among others, the titles of Polish Champion in Hip-Hop, Disco Dance and Electric Boogie / Popping.
His pupils reached for the titles of Champions of Poland, Europe and World Champions, while he himself was the only Pole who passed international judicial exams in the street dance department of the International Dance Organization (IDO). He regularly judges the largest dance tournaments in the world, conducted castings for theatrical productions, directed dance performances and organized the largest Polish online tournament Move OnLine.
He is also the managing director of the Artia Academy of Arts, attended by over 2,500 dancers and acrobats, as well as the President of the Polish Dance Union.
