Hungry for movie thrills? The Film and TV Zone has you covered
13 June 2026
If you like films and series, be sure to book a lot of time for events prepared by the Film and TV Series Zone! And what’s happening there? Well, here’s a compilation of some of the attractions worth seeing!

Movie maniacs of the Internet
Have you ever wondered who you can meet at this year’s Pyrkon? Among the fantastic guests of the Film and TV Zone we have YouTubers, who know a lot about cinematography! You will be able to meet: Kaja Szafrańska and Janusz Raczyński, a duo known as jakbyniepaczeć, Julian Jeliński of Brody z kosmosu, Szymon Kołodziejczyk of Język Filmu, and the crew of Napisy Końcowe: Radek Pisula, Oskar Rogowski and Adam Antolski!
I know that voice!
Or, maybe, you want to take a trip down memory lane? If so, we have the perfect proposal! Meet Polish voice actors from series such as Barbie, Avatar or K-Pop Demon Hunters. Do you want to hear your favourite characters live? Come to the Q&A panel to learn more about these cult classics! You will also have a chance to get a photo or an autograph (but remember you need a Pyrpass for that!).
Real movie magic
Talking about films is not enough—we have some great titles in the Pyrkon night cinema. This year it will take place mostly in the Film and TV Room 2 in Hall 3A.
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920), Friday 10:30 p.m. – Have you ever seen a movie with live music? At Pyrkon, you’ll have the chance to experience it! Watch one of the most important films in the history of cinema, with live music performed by Czerwie! We invite you to this unique screening, the only one to take place in a different location – in the Large Auditorium in PCC.
Reflection in a Dead Diamond (2025) Saturday 0:00 – the perfect title for action film fans. Do you like spy movies? Immerse yourself in a story inspired by the Italian genre of cinema from the 1970s. Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani create a stylish and sensual story, full of nostalgia. Spies, action and, above all, emotion—what more could you want?
Suspiria (1977) Saturday 1:30 a.m. – a horror classic that continues to inspire new generations of creators! Suspiria is more than just a horror: it’s a hypnotising spectacle of emotions, sounds and colours. A must-see for fans of the genre.
Corpse Bride (2005) Sunday 0:00 – a mix of horror, charm, and melancholy by Tim Burton. The screening, with the intro by Tim Allen, is a part of cooperation between the Animator Festival and Pyrkon.
All films will be shown with original audio and Polish subtitles.
And apart from Pyrkon night cinema, we have:
Animated films screening in cooperation with the Animator Festival: Animation without limits – Best of MFFA Animator, Friday at 2:30 p.m. – as the opening event of the Film and TV Series Zone we have a dynamic display of animation in its most various forms! You will have a chance to see productions like “Hootchu”, “Long Distance”, or this year’s Oscar winner: “The Girl Who Cried Pearls”. This screening proves that animation knows no limits—neither in form, nor in imagination.

And for the fans of Pyrkon panels…
…we have some interesting options! This year’s lectures and panels to enjoy:
– Elphaba, Frankenstein’s monster and the Ghoul: monstrous fascination in popular culture (Adrianna Fiłonowicz) – How about a lecture all about monsters? Adrianna Fiłonowicz will introduce our titular creatures, so you can ponder the topic of empathy towards monsters together: where it comes from and how popular culture teaches us to treat “the other” with more understanding.
– Big emotions on the big screen: cinema therapy and the phenomenon of “Inside Out” (Piotr Pomostowski) – Have you ever wondered whether movies can heal you? Piotr Pomostowski will take a closer look at the recently popular cinema therapy, in this case regarding the movie “Inside Out”—one of the titles most frequently cited by psychologists, therapists and film scholars on this topic.
– “But it doesn’t exist” or, what the worlds mean to the fans (Krzysztof M. Maj) – Krzysztof M. Maj will try answering the questions of why fan resistance matters, why casting and trailers don’t always have to be applauded, and why being a part of a fandom makes us responsible for protecting what we love.
– Genre cinema AD 2026 – a panel discussion with Radek Pisula (of Napisy końcowe), Marta Kożuchowska (o_oezu), Grzegorz Fortuna and Marcin Adamczak (of Velvetspoon distribution company) – Are you waiting for movies that are coming out this year? Or maybe you’re wondering which of the currently available ones are worth watching? If you want to find out the answers to these and many more questions about genre cinema in 2026, we invite you to a panel with critics and film experts!
Films? TV Series? Of course!
Excited by our Pyrkon offer? We invite all fans of good cinema to visit the Film and TV Series Zone, where everyone will find something interesting! You can’t miss this.
