Let’s meet Fernando Dagnino

Fernando Dagnino was born in Madrid in 1973. When he was five years old, he announced to his parents that he wanted to become a comic book artist. They didn’t much believe his words. That didn’t stop him, however, because he also didn’t take their lack of faith seriously. He paid his debt to society by graduating in English literature and linguistics. But then he decided to follow his heart and became a comic book artist.

In 1997, he worked as a Guest Disney Imagineer in Los Angeles designing attractions for Disney Quest at Disney World in Florida. He continued to work as an illustrator for books for the youth, magazines, video games and several advertising agencies. In 2006, he wrote and drew his first graphic novel for young people, “KASANDRA y la Rebelion.”

In 2007, he entered the American comics market, working for DC Comics on such series as Superman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Young Titans, Justice League and Suicide Squad Legion. In turn, at Dark Horse Comics Publishing, he helped with such series as Captain Midnight and Tarzan of the

Apes For Valiant, he prepared covers for Killers and Ninjaki Rai, and for Titan Comics he did Blade Runner Origins.

He has collaborated on three publications that have been translated into various languages:

  • SMART GIRL (by ©FernandoDagnino) published by Editions Reflexions, Panini, Titan comics
  • L’AGENT (with screenplay by Mathieu Gabelli) by Glénat Publishers, Ablaze
  • Winter Queen (by ©FernandoDagnino) by Glénat Publishing.

He is currently working on a new project for Dupuis.

Dagnino is revered by fans and critics alike for his contributions to the world of comics and his ability to create engaging visual narratives. So, are you also looking forward to meeting Fernando Dagnino?
