Gaming Zone at Pyrkon 2024: Play, Meet, Discover!
This year’s Gaming Zone at Pyrkon promises to be epic! Plenty of attractions await you – from tournaments for the latest games, to meetings with e-sports stars and retro gaming. Do not miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of games and experience unforgettable moments!
Initially, get acquainted with our distinguished guests, such as the To Znowu Oni Crew, who will be handing out autographs before their Q&A panel. Also, don’t miss Nerds’ Kitchen, Mikołaj “Silvan” Sinacki and many other distinguished guests!
In Hall 7A you will be able to participate in a variety of tournaments, such as:
- Heroes 3 – show your strategic skills in the legendary turn-based game.
- AR dodgeball – feel the excitement of the game of dodgeball in a whole new way, thanks to AR technology.
- Tekken 8 – face off against other players in the latest installment of the cult fighthing game.
- Street Fighter 6 – test your skills in Street Fighter 6’s dynamic duels.
- Pong – feel the nostalgia for the classics and play Pong on a modern console.
- Super Mario – jump into the world of Super Mario and defeat Bowser.
- Mario Kart 64 – get ahead of your rivals on Mario Kart 64 race tracks.
- And many more!
In addition to the guests and tournaments, we also invite you to participate in many other attractions. At the Gaming Zone you will get to talk to the Veritas team, representatives of the Poznan Gamers Guild, and you will be able to learn a bit about the history of Gran Turismo. If you want to give your legs a rest, drop by our lecture hall at the PCC, where you will find many interesting presentations.
Invited exhibitors include the Poznań Gamers Guild, who support local indie developers, promotes the idea of making games accessible to all, and run a variety of games with prizes. We have also invited the YOMI Poznan Fighting Games Community, who’s members will arrive with PlayStation 5 consoles to let you play the latest brawlers.
Will there be any takers for the augmented reality dodgeball? This year’s Pyrkon will have HADO, the world’s first professional technology sport that combines e-sports and physical sports. Three-person teams will attack each other using virtual balls and shields.
Also visit the Old Computers and Games booth, where you can play classic consoles and computers of the past, such as the Commodore 64, NES and many others.
Remember! Lectures at the PCC are held from morning to evening, and there are plenty of activities waiting for you in the gaming hall – more than ever before! This year, for the first time, you will also find gaming exhibitors’ booths there.
