Amidala’s Royal Robes, Imperial Weapons, and Battle Droids – galactic exhibitions in the Star Wars Zone
3 May 2026
Star Wars is more than the Force and lightsaber battles. It is also an extensive material side of the galaxy – costumes, armour, droids, equipment and vehicles that make this world seem real. After all, every stormtrooper helmet, every piece of armor or element of a royal outfit is part of the visual language of the saga, which has been recognized by fans around the world for decades.
In the Star Wars Zone at Pyrkon, you will be able to see several unique exhibitions prepared by creators and collectors who reproduce these elements with impressive accuracy. From royal costumes straight from Naboo, to imperial armour and a whole arsenal of galactic weaponry, to battle droids and iconic vehicles. Each of these expositions will allow you to look a little deeper into the world that many of us know primarily from the screen.
Royal Robes of Naboo – Costume Exhibition
Queen Amidala’s Phantom Menace costumes are some of the most recognisable and refined outfits in the saga. At Pyrkon, you will be able to see a unique collection of their faithful reconstructions, made with great care for materials, textures and details. Velvets, satins, jacquards and intricate lace create silhouettes that look like they’ve been taken out of Naboo’s royal chambers. Each outfit is decorated with hundreds of beads arranged in distinctive patterns, and each piece reflects the extraordinary splendor and theatricality of film costumes.
The author of the collection is Aldona “ATAT” Talarczyk – a costume designer and a lover of fashion history and film costume. For over a decade, she has been passionately recreating Queen Amidala’s outfits, gradually developing and refining her collection. This year’s edition of Pyrkon will be special for her, as it is exactly ten years since her first presentation at the Convention. During this time, the costumes evolved, new elements appeared, and many of them were refined and improved to reflect the film’s original item even more faithfully. So it is not only an exhibition, but also the history of the project, which develops together with Pyrkon and its participants.
SW Armory – galactic arsenal
If, on the other hand, you are closer to the military side of Star Wars, be sure to visit the SW Armory exhibition. It is a place where you can see an impressive collection of galactic armaments and equipment. From helmets and armour to all kinds of blasters.
It’s going to be a real treat for fans of the Empire. You can take a closer look at the characteristic armour elements of stormtroopers and other units, check out the structural details and see what these iconic equipment elements look like outside the film frame.
This is a great opportunity to see how much work is behind the creation of faithful replicas known from the screen. Because even though everything in the movie lasts barely a few seconds, every helmet, piece of armour or weapon is dozens or even hundreds of hours of designing, adjusting elements and working on details.
SW Shipyard – vehicles from a galaxy far, far away
Part of the SW Armory exhibition will also be SW Shipyard, a section dedicated to vehicles and equipment known from various corners of the galaxy. This year, you will be able to see, among other things, a snowspeeder: a vehicle that many fans associate with the legendary Battle of Hoth. An Imperial reconnaissance probe is also waiting for you: a distinctive Empire droid sent to distant planets.
These constructions show how visually extensive the world of Star Wars is. Even single vehicles or machines have their own style and function in the galactic ecosystem. Seeing them up close allows you to appreciate details that cannot be seen in a few seconds – even on a large screen.
Kasprop droids – when machines leave the hangar
Finally, something for everyone who has always thought that droids are one of the coolest parts of Star Wars. Kasprop will present a collection of droids from the saga, including an impressive droid in a 1:1 scale. Next to it, there will also be combat droids of the Trade Federation, which many fans remember from the New Trilogy. These distinctive, slim silhouettes with blasters in their hands over the years have become one of the most recognizable elements of the Separatist army.
Seeing them in their actual size leaves a completely different impression than watching them on a screen. Suddenly, it turns out that these machines are both quite tall and quite dangerous. It also makes you realise that it is definitely better to see them at an exhibition, than to meet them somewhere in the corridor of an imperial base.
This year’s exhibitions show how diverse the world of Star Wars is. From the royal costumes of Naboo, to the military equipment of the Empire, to the vehicles and droids that roam the galaxy in search of their next targets. Everyone can easily find something for themselves. So if you are planning a visit to the Star Wars Zone, be sure to give yourself some time for these exhibitions. Sometimes one helmet, one costume or one droid is enough to make you feel like you’re in the middle of a galactic adventure again.
