Patryk Sowiński: LEGO Photography Coming to Pyrkon 2025

LEGO bricks are a wonderful way to express creativity, spark nostalgia, and… have a whole lot of fun. And if you add an eye for framing, a sense of light, and a dash of pop culture obsession – you get real art. At Pyrkon 2025, you’ll get to see it with your own eyes by visiting the exhibition of two exceptional guests: Patryk Sowiński and Patryk Gronowski. Both are true AFOLs (Adult Fans of LEGO) who, instead of building just for themselves, show the world how to capture the ever-busy and elusive minifigures on film or in a smartphone gallery.

A collector on a mission, an AFOL with heart, and a photographer with an eye for detail. Patryk is someone who not only knows the 1993 LEGO catalog by heart but can also capture its atmosphere in a photograph like few others. On Instagram as @bricks_by_pata, he shares shots where classic Pirates and Castle themes meet the galaxy of Star Wars, the world of Jurassic World, and Middle-earth.
Since 2021, his LEGO photography has been regularly appearing online, and for over a year, he’s been co-creating the AfolSquad team, responsible for themed LEGO photo challenges. He’s also part of the Vintage Lego Sets project, lovingly restoring and presenting classic sets from the ’80s and ’90s at exhibitions and events. Pyrkon 2025 will be his first live exhibition – and as he says, it’s the fulfillment of a big AFOL dream.
