It’s a good thing we wear masks (PREMIERE) and meeting with the creators | Friday 07:00 pm – 08:30 pm

A premiere of a documentary!

Sometimes you have to put on a mask to show your real face. Konrad devoted nearly five years to creating his dream outfit. Although he treats cosplay as a way to improve his own world, he also gives joy to others – often those most in need. However, even in the fictional world, there are crises that need to be dealt with. And when you start to “run out of air” behind the mask – you have to catch your breath somehow. Initially promising solutions to problems may turn out to be wrong. How do you not give up then? Will it be helpful to stick to your dreams? “It’s a good thing we wear masks” is a portrait of a man – a perfectionist who – playing fictional characters from a distant galaxy – faces real life: work, spirituality and the need for belonging.

An intimate, humorous, but also emotional story of a fan’s passion that becomes a way of life.

After the screening, there will be a meeting with the filmmakers Bartosz Pawłowski, Bohdan Reva and the protagonist of the film – Konrad Kobus. We look forward to seeing you there!

Nosferatu – symphony of horror (1922) with live music performed by Czerwie | Saturday 00:00 – 02:00 am

“Czerwie” is a Polish formation presenting alternative sounds from the borderline of folk, ethno, absurd, experimental and contemporary music, as well as theatre and film music. They created their own unique style characterized by unconventional use  of instruments and musical values, which is also a fusion of many genres. They are the creators of, among others, music  for the performance directed by Piotr Cieplak „Albośmy to jacy, tacy” based on St. Wyspiański’s “The Wedding” (Teatr Powszechny im. Zygmunta Hübnera, Warsaw, 2007).

The group currently consists of 4 musicians – Wojtek Zaborowski, Maciek, Kudłack, Piotrek Bogunia, Tomek Mańkowski – operating the following instruments: percussion, xylophone, percussion instruments, ethnic instruments, bass, guitar, mandolin, accordion, synthesizers.

Nosferatu – a symphony of horror – a German silent horror directed by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau. One of the first horror films in the history of cinema, which was an important factor in the development of the genre. The film premiered on March 4, 1922. This screening is a unique opportunity to enjoy the classic in full glory! Feel like it’s the 1920s,  when live music was a key element of a visit to the cinema!

Droga donikąd (2025) and a meeting with the creators! | Saturday 09:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Droga donikąd is a dark tale of revenge and loss of humanity in a merciless, post-apocalyptic world. A lonely wanderer follows in the footsteps of the man who destroyed his life. While traveling through deserted areas, he meets a stranger with whom he shares his story. The brutality of reality is mixed here with a reflection on human nature and the limits of morality.

The film will be presented with Polish sound and English subtitles, and the meeting will be held in Polish.

You should also come to a meeting with the creators of the Droga donikąd (independent film). It’s a chance to get behind the scenes of a film made with passion and determination, hear about the challenges of independent cinema, and talk to the director and crew. What was it like building a post-apocalyptic world without a large budget? What compromises and what creative solutions allowed to bring this project to an end? Amadeusz Kocan Bartosz Wabno, Paweł Kaszkowiak, Karol Kopiec and Monika Nowogrodzka will talk about this and more at the meeting after the screening.
