We are very pleased to be coming to you with the announcement of the next foreign guest of the Literature Zone! Brent Weeks, author of the popular “Night Angel” series, joins this distinguished group!
Brent Weeks – who is he?
Brent Weeks is an American fantasy author, born on March 7, 1977 in a small town in the picturesque state of Montana. According to him, at the age of twelve he already met the two great loves of his life: the power to break the barriers of time, death and loneliness, shown to him by Edgar Allan Poe, and a girl – Kristi Barnes – met thanks to amazing destiny.
He started following both of those things. However, his first novel was a failure, and his girlfriend turned him down.
But, if one excludes the less thrilling parts of his life, Brent has written nine best-selling novels, including the “Night Angel” trilogy, the “Lightbringer” series and the Night Angel. Nemesis. novel, which is the author’s latest novel and the first volume of the “Kylar Chronicles” series.
At this point, Brent Weeks has received several awards , and his novels have been translated into nineteen languages and sold several million copies. He currently lives in Oregon with his wife, Kristi Barnes (yes, he married his teenage crush), and two daughters.
