Accessible Pyrkon – A Handful of Essential Information Before the Upcoming Pyrkon!
23 May 2025
At Pyrkon, we strive to ensure that every attendee feels comfortable and safe. That’s why we’ve prepared a range of facilities for people with disabilities, as well as their assistants and caregivers. Below, you’ll find all the essential information regarding accreditation, entry to the festival grounds, and additional accommodations.
Fantasy is for everyone – and that’s why we do everything we can to make Pyrkon as accessible as possible for everyone, regardless of individual needs. If you are a person with a disability or will be accompanying someone as an assistant or caregiver – be sure to read the information below.
Easy Access – A Few Words About Accreditation!
A specially designated fast-access ticket booth, known as the priority booth, will be available for people with disabilities. This is a dedicated station where you can pick up your badge or purchase a ticket without having to wait in line. Importantly, we do not require any official documentation confirming a disability. The shortest route from the entrance to the priority booths will be marked with yellow tape, making it easier to find, especially for individuals with visual impairments. Pregnant women and honorary blood donors may also use the priority booth.
Additionally, security staff will allow individuals with mobility challenges to bypass the turnstiles, making access to the festival grounds as comfortable as possible.
Each festival entrance will feature at least one priority booth equipped with an induction loop – it will be marked with a special induction loop symbol to help you locate it easily. What’s more – both at the booth and the Festival Office – you’ll be able to use an online Polish Sign Language (PJM) interpreter during specific hours.
PJM Interpreter Availability:
Friday (June 13, 2025): 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Saturday (June 14, 2025): 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Sunday (June 15, 2025): 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Support Is Welcome at Pyrkon!
Every person with a valid certificate of significant or moderate disability can attend the festival with one designated assistant or caregiver. This individual is entitled to a free badge, which can be collected alongside the person they are supporting. The condition is that the person with the disability must hold a valid admission ticket. Badges must be worn at all times during the event.
To obtain a free badge for an assistant or caregiver, you must:
- Hold a valid certificate of significant or moderate disability;
- Send the document number (not the scan or content) to [email protected] by June 1, 2025;
- Present the document for verification at the accreditation booth;
- The assistant or caregiver must be at least 18 years old (or 14 years old if a first-degree relative).
Please remember that during the festival, each person with a disability may be accompanied by only one assistant or caregiver.
Of course, assistance dogs are also welcome on the festival grounds. However, appropriate documentation confirming the dog’s status is required. At the Festival Office, you can request water for your dog and dog waste bags – simply ask one of the volunteers.
If you have any questions or need additional information – feel free to write to us at [email protected] or visit the page dedicated to the “Accessible Pyrkon” initiative for more details.
See you at the Festival! Let’s make Pyrkon a truly inclusive space for everyone.
