Accessible Pyrkon. Fantastic fiction knows no barriers!
28 March 2026
The worlds of fantasy teach us that borders exist merely to be crossed. Pyrkon brings this idea to reality, developing amenities for people who need special assistance, and creating a space where every participant can be a part of this extraordinary story.
Just like in the best fantasy novels, the strength of Pyrkon is the diversity of its characters. We have prepared further facilities for people who need special assistance, so that each of you can take part in this story. Check out what amenities await both at the entrance and at the Convention grounds.
Starting at the threshold! Box offices and entrance to Pyrkon
We made sure that no one has to face inconveniences – special priority box offices are waiting for people with disabilities, where they can buy a ticket without queuing, and security will allow them to pass the turnstile without the need to show any statements. This entrance will also be available for pregnant women and honorary blood donors. The shortest route to the box office will be indicated by a yellow tape, especially helpful for people with visual impairment.
At the priority box offices, you will receive not only a map of the event (with elevators and accessible toilets clearly marked), but also Communication Cards with simple pictograms facilitating communication with a person with hearing impairment or in crisis. This year, we’ve also introduced something new – special lanyards with sunflowers (a worldwide symbol of hidden disabilities) will be available at the priority box offices and at the Convention Office. If you want, you can communicate to other participants and the event staff that you may need support.
In addition, all priority box offices will be equipped with induction loops and will be adequately marked (with the induction loop symbol). Access to a Polish Sign Language interpreter on duty is planned at the Convention Office in Hall 10.

Each hero of this story can also take a companion with them – an assistant or guardian will enter the Convention area free of charge. Detailed information on who can become an assistant or guardian can be found on the “Accessible Pyrkon” campaign page. At this point, we want to remind you that – in order to benefit from the privilege of a free ticket – you must fill out the form, the link to which you will find below. Assistance dogs are also welcome, for which water and poop bags will be provided in the Convention Office. However, do not forget about the relevant documents and certificates for the dog.
And further on too! At the Convention area
At Pyrkon, accessibility does not end at the door: on the premises there are specially adapted accessible toilets (marked on the event map), and in addition there are also toilets with changing tables (in the East Hallway behind the box office line and at level 0 in the PCC). Each of the halls and all the program rooms are accessible to wheelchair users. Additional warning signs in front of the stairs will ensure the safety of participants in key points of the area (in the PCC, at the stairs leading to the mezzanine of hall 5 and at the stairs in the so-called “cross”, i.e. the space between halls 7, 7A, 8 and 8A).
Right next to the Convention Office, a tactile map will be provided once again – serving as information for sighted, visually impaired and blind people. The map has also been adapted to the needs of people of short stature, as well as those unable to read.
Need a break? There will be a Constrained Stimuli Zone at Pyrkon – a place where you can take a break from the crowds and noise of the convention. There you will find comfortable armchairs and soundproofing headphones.
So if you are planning your trip to Pyrkon, you can rest easy knowing that the organizers made sure the convention will be accessible, comfortable and full of fantastic experiences for everyone.
