Pyrkon K-pop Dance Cover Festival 2024 results. Meet the winners of the contest!
The second edition of the Pyrkon K-pop Dance Cover Festival brought together many talented artists on stage. Hundreds of Pyrkon attendees, who cheered on their favorite bands, watched the performances. This unique competition was not only aimed at providing a fantastic show during Pyrkon, it was first and foremost an opportunity for dancers to test their skills against rivals and experienced judges. How did the competition go?
The jury was comprised of our special guests, namely:
- Momoko Den: Graduate of the ARCHITANZ program in Tokyo, winner of many dance awards, dancer with the Polish Dance Theater.
- Anna Beker: Dancer and trainer, lecturer in musical, jazz and contemporary dance at the Poznan Academy of Music, working with the Korea Dance Association and FIDAF.
- Loczniki: A dance duo specializing in popping, recognized on the international dance scene, well known to Instagram, TikTok and YouTube users.
- Jakub Grzybała: Leader of last year’s Pyrkon K-pop Cover Dance Festival winners, Majesty Team.
Hosting the event was Karol “Kasar” Suchecki, creator of game and anime songs’ covers.
The Pyrkon K-pop Dance Cover Festival was held as a result of a collaboration between the Pyrkon Fan Convention and the Cheoncheonhi (천천히) – Polish-Korean team from Wrocław, Poland.
During the break, while the jury was deliberating, a performance was given by Yuyechka.
Winners of the Pyrkon K-pop Dance Cover Festival 2024
Sixteen teams took part in the competition, which provided the audience with more than an hour of dance performance to watch and admire. Although the judges faced a difficult choice, they were able to select three winning formations and recognize two teams with honourable mentions. Here are the winners of this year’s event:
1st place: Meraki Dance Team
3rd place: N7xie
III miejsce: N7xie
Honourable mentions went to the teams: CERBERUS Dance Crew i Fengx.
