Apply now and GM a game at one of Europe’s biggest fan conventions.
Who are Game Masters on Duty of the RPG Zone and how did that start?
Game Masters on Duty (or DMG for Dyżurny Mistrz Gry) are the beating heart of the RPG Zone. They are the ones who, throughout the convention, lead game sessions full of excitement, from classic game systems, to unique adventures, to original stories and improvised tales. It is the DMGs who build the ambiance at the table, get players immersed in various worlds and bring the collective storytelling to life.
Try to remember your first TTRPG. Your first character, first dice roll, first decision, which just had to be good… but ended up with you in manacles, or with a sudden bear fight, or with being poisoned thanks to a “luck elixir” bought from a suspiciously nice old lady by the tavern. Those memories, full of laughter, chaos and plot twists, stay with us for years.
Stories like that have been fostered by Game Masters on Duty (DMGs) at Pyrkon since 2019. Back then, 39 GMs led 450 hours of adventures. Each year this number is growing along with the amount of stories, dice rolls and unforgettable memories at the table.
