Though the protective headgear adorned with animal horns—such as the Norsemen are fabled to have worn—may be merely a myth of ages past, it is confirmed that John Gwynne has successfully navigated his course, setting sail upon a fabled journey toward the gathering known as Pyrkon 2026!
The renowned warrior and bard, whose sagas are known in distant lands, prepares to traverse the turbulent seas. With his shield and axe prepared, a pouch of sunstones secured, and a freshly oiled sword at his belt, he shall face the tempestuous waters. He will traverse the vast expanse of the Banished Lands, press through Wolf Valley, and cross the Tarin River. Fully clad, his beard weathered by the salty spray of the sea, he shall overcome all adversities in answer to the call. He will not rest until his feet, weary from the arduous travel, finally touch the rich pelts that adorn the halls of the Poznań International Fair.
John Gwynne is the celebrated author of legends and heroic songs detailing the adventures of Corban of Ardan. The Faithful and the Fallen chronicles the destiny of a young, ambitious warrior who learns, too soon, the true price of courage and the bitter taste of war. He becomes entangled in a reignited conflict with the giants, a menace long believed to be utterly vanquished. This immense struggle, propelled by a vast web of intrigue and a series of devastating battles, drives relentlessly toward a final confrontation between the forces of good and evil.
Set one hundred and thirty years later, the Of Blood and Bone trilogy returns us to the Banished Lands, now ruled by the iron hand of the race of angels. This tale recounts the fortunes of a hunter named Drem and a young warrior known as Riv, who encounter ominous signs that suggest the awakening of an ancient evil.
In his latest novels, he tells the stark story of Orka, Varg, and Elvar, driven by a fierce need for vengeance, the instinct of survival, and the resolve to forge their own path and defy fate. The Bloodsworn Saga is an epic journey set within a grim world inspired by Norse legends, a land filled with proud, warlike clans and the shadows of fallen gods.
There is no doubt that the author could discuss these manuscripts for hours on end. Therefore, it is fitting that we join in eagerly awaiting the sight of the white sails of the longship carrying John, as it arrives at the Poznań port this June!
