Kevin J. Anderson – co-creator of the Arrakian tales at Pyrkon 2025!

Kevin J. Anderson is an acclaimed writer with nearly 100 books to his credit, including many set in some of the most iconic fantasy worlds – Dune, Star Wars, X-Files, as well as Star Trek, StarCraft and the Superman universe.

Throughout his career, Anderson has often collaborated with his wife Rebecca Moesta and many well-known authors, such as Doug Beason, Dean Koontz and A. E. van Vogt. Together with Brian Herbert, he has been developing the literary universe of Dunefor years, bringing fans new stories full of intrigue.

He took his first steps into the world of literature as a child – at the age of 8, he wrote his first story entitled Injection, and at the age of 10, he bought his first typewriter. His professional debut came at the age of 22, when one of his short stories was published in a literary magazine. He earned his first royalty – $12.50 – while still in high school.

His debut novel, Resurrection, was published in 1988 and immediately earned him a nomination for Best Debut Novel in the horror category. Since then, Anderson’s career has been kicked into high gear.

In addition to writing, he also engages in other artistic projects – he has co-written scripts for TV series and films, and the results of his work can be seen in the series Dune: Prophecy, among others.
