Manga and Anime Zone at Pyrkon 2025 – What news to expect from the East?
26 May 2025
This year, the Manga and Anime Zone at Pyrkon has exceeded the boldest expectations – both in terms of the scale of attractions and the number of exceptional guests from Poland and abroad. For three days, participants will be able to enter the fascinating world of Japanese pop culture, participate in workshops, competitions and lectures, and visit countless thematic mini-zones. So it’s time to summarize it!
From the Polish scene

As they say – the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence… but is it, really? Ultimately every manga and anime fan watched at least one episode of Pokemon in Polish, and thus heard our guest- Hanna Kinder-Kiss – who was the voice of Ash, the main character of the series.
But that’s not all! Sara Woś, a lover of Japanese culture, a Japanese and English teacher by education, will also visit us. She is a promoter of reading in Poland by trade and passion and an influencer who you may know as Choigorue on Instagram and TikTok. As she herself says, she plans to move to an old house in a Japanese village in the future.

As soon as you enter Pyrkon grounds and look into the Manga and Anime Zone, there will be some fantastic guests waiting for you straight from Japan! Takanashi Kiara – a fiery phoenix idol with a passionate heart and humor as sharp as a sword, whose energy on stage is equal to a supernova.
Nerissa Ravencroft – known as the Demon of Sound, because her voice is so beautiful… it’s scary. Her presence is like a meeting with a character taken straight from an RPG game – elegant, charming and full of secrets.

And ending with the manga creator, who made history with his work:

And for those who watched spectacular matches, their face all flushed, where the ball reached the speed of sound, and each shot could change the fate of the whole team – we have a real treat! Pyrkon will host Yōichi Takahashi – a legend of Japanese pop culture, the godfather of the football shōnen and the creator of the unforgettable Captain Tsubasa series.
