What challenges await you this year?

Within the Contest Zone itself, you’ll find attractions in well-known formats — from quizzes to tournaments.

On Friday evening, there will be:

Ryjówka* — this all-encompassing film knowledge quiz debuted thirteen years ago and since then has held a place of honor in Pyrkon’s history as one of the oldest events of its kind. A group of antiheroes will test your knowledge of movies and series from all over the world. Expect new categories and multimedia in the Ryjówka-verse. Questions will cover everything — from characters to music — in a thrilling competition with eliminations and a hint of spoilers.

SIMBA – Super Intensely Mind-Bending Animated Quiz — throws down the gauntlet to its older sister, Ryjówka, and to you — the Pyrkon-goers. Are you obsessed with animation and know Shrek by heart? Do you sing Disney songs and recognize the film Flow? Then this contest is for you. Find out which team knows animated films the best!

Then on Saturday, it’s time for a Pyrkon classic — the Dwarven Song Contest, promoting dwarven culture and artistic soul. The organizers aim to break the stereotype of the grumpy, bearded dwarf and showcase their creative side. You don’t have to look like a dwarf — as long as you feel like one and have talent, you’re welcome!

Contests await you in other thematic Zones as well! Everyone will find something for themselves — as proof, here are just a few highlights from across the Festival. Manga and Anime Zone — How many pixels until you guess the opening?
Recognize which animation a frame is from! Don’t adjust your screens — the blur is intentional.

Children’s Zone — The Great Pyrkon Drawing Contest
What wonders have you seen at Pyrkon? Show them to us — brought to life on paper!

Gaming Zone — Baldur’s Gate 3 Trivia
How well do you know the latest title from Larian Studios? Question difficulty depends on the participant’s luck — and luck is dictated by a d20 roll.

Board Games, Wargames and Card Games Zone — Złota Pyra
Can you faithfully recreate the inscription engraved on a miniature soldier’s belt buckle using a paintbrush? Or are you just beginning your painting journey and want to share your first creations? This contest is for you!

Cosplay Zone — Masquerade
The most anticipated cosplay contest! A colorful show full of lights, creativity, and fantastic costumes! Winners will earn the title of “Poland’s Cosplay Representatives” and, with the organizer’s support, will travel to Paris to represent Poland in the finals of the Extreme Cosplay Gathering World Championship.

Convention Zone – Integration — K-Pop Dance Cover Festival Finals
Teams that made it through the preliminary round will perform at Pyrkon on the Fire Stage, showcasing their dance skills in front of a jury and the audience. Don’t miss it — come cheer on your favorite groups with your friends!
