Sara Pichelli will visit Pyrkon 2025!

Sara started her career in animation, but soon discovered that it was drawing comics that was her true passion. She made her debut in the comics industry with Italian publisher Cut-Up, creating her first comic book Sesso col coltello. The next step was a collaboration with IDW Comics, where she illustrated series such as Star Trek. In 2008, after winning a worldwide art competition organized by Marvel Comics, she began working for the publisher.At Marvel, Sara has worked on a number of popular series, including NYX, X-Men, Namora, Runaways or Ultimate Comics:. Spider-Man vol. 2, where she became the lead artist.

Her Awards

She is the winner of the Eagle Award and Harvey Award in 2011, and two-time winner of the Stan Lee Awards. In 2014, she was among the new Marvel Young Guns, which is a program that recognizes the best emerging artists in the comics industry.

Further work

After 2014, Sara worked on refreshing Guardians of the Galaxy and All-New X-Men. She also created the first chapter of a special Spider-Man story, and in 2017 she returned to work on the character, drawing the second chapter.

Shortly thereafter, she collaborated with Dan Slott on the revival of the Fantastic Fourseries, and teamed up with J.J. and Henry Abrams to create a new Spider-Man mini-series.In 2023, she began work on her solo series Scarlet Witch, which immediately gained immense popularity.
