Creativity in full swing! What will be happening in the Workshop Zone during Pyrkon 2025?

New location, new opportunities!

This year, one of the main changes in the Workshop Zone is where you should look for it! During the upcoming Pyrkon, the workshops will take place at level 0 in the PCC hall, but not only there! Some of the workshops will also take place on the mezzanine in hall 7, on Pyrkon stages, in the LEGO Fan Zone, in the Kids’ Zone, in the Science Zone and in many other places. So if you want to expand your skills – not necessarily only manual ones – then be sure to check out the event program and check the location of the selected attraction thoroughly! 

What’s waiting for you?

If you want to give your jacket a unique, convention-related look, then you must definitely take a look at the “Pyrkon Metamorphosis” workshop conducted by Wasted Couture, where you and the hosts will turn your old denim jacket into a fantastic outfit, perfect for Pyrkon! During the workshop, you will learn a variety of techniques for personalizing clothes and – who knows – maybe you will discover a passion for making clothes that will let you express your geek nature even more? 

And for those who value spending time more dynamically or dream of a stage career, we have also prepared a lot of attractions! One of them is a dance workshop with Nick Pauley – Ryan Reynolds’ dance double, who choreographed the song “Bye Bye Bye” by NSYNC. They will take place on the Water Stage and are available to everyone, so put on some comfortable shoes and be sure to bring the desire to dance with you, because there’s going to be fire! 

Have you ever wondered what the work of a dubbing actor looks like? Then you won’t have to wonder anymore! The dubbing workshops will take place in the Workshop Zone, and will be led by well-known (although not necessarily recognizable by looking at their faces) actors: Anton Borovyi, Bartek Wesołowski, Mateusz Narloch and Jan Aleksandrowicz-Krasko. Our guests will show you the secrets of working with a microphone and give you the opportunity to try your hand at it under the supervision of professionals!

There’s going to be a large variety of attractions waiting for you. Not sure yet?  There will be something for those who would like to learn fire photography and learn how to make the pictures taken during shows where this particular element is the star really stand out. There will be a handful of advice, patents, and tips on how to make the photos impress everyone. 

There will also be a workshop introducing the basics of mindfulness, where you will learn how to be aware of the present moment or how to deal with stress and difficult emotions more easily. And all this accompanied by the characters of the George Lucas saga – Master Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi or Luke Skywalker. 

And if you feel that you lack the ability to set and enforce boundaries, then be sure to sign up for a workshop where a psychologist and coach will introduce you to this topic. After all, it’s worth taking care of yourself and your comfort in relationships with other people, right?

And what about other zones?

We warned you at the very beginning that workshops will also take place within other program zones, so now we will lift the veil of secrecy and tell you a little about those program events as well! In the Science Zone, there are workshops on the basics of programming, during which you will be able to build and program your own robot using bricks. The Kids’ Zone will be full of classes in painting figurines, making your own pins, and even… yes, you’re seeing this right: introducing the young ones to becoming a detective! In the RPG Zone, a number of program events are waiting for you, which will not only teach you to tell your players the story better, but also make it easier to find people to play or to play the character you created.

And that was just the tip of the iceberg!

You can be sure that in the Workshop Zone there will be no shortage of opportunities for manual and creative fun, satisfying your creative side! There will be improv workshops, but also writing workshops. You will have the opportunity to learn how to cross-stich, make dioramas, lanterns and a whole lot of other cool things. In the Workshop Zone, you will create your own cat ears, a unique macramé or calligraph your name in Chinese. All you have to do is look at the program of the event (be sure to filter it for workshops), and then sign up for them! It may sound like a cliché, but – we guarantee it – everyone will find something for themselves here.
