Rules and Regulations of Pyrkon Puzzle Masters© on June 20, 2026
I. GENERAL PROVISIONS
- This file sets the rules and regulations for the Pyrkon Puzzle Masters© – a jigsaw puzzle contest happening at 12:00-13:15 on June 20, 2026 in Poznań, Poland, at World Trade Centre during Pyrkon Fan Convention, as well as the preliminaries for Pyrkon Puzzle Masters© happening from November 2025 to May 2026 across Poland.
- The Organiser for Pyrkon Puzzle Masters©, hereinafter referred to as PPM, is “Druga Era” fan association, based in Poznań (ul. Kaliska 22a/23, 61-131 Poznań), who is also the organiser of Pyrkon Fan Convention. The Coordinators for the project on the behalf of the Organiser are Patrycja Maciejewska and Anna Teodorowicz. - The Organiser, to bring about Preliminaries for Pyrkon Puzzle Masters©, co-operates with Polskie Stowarzyszenie Puzzlowe (Polish puzzle association) and other jigsaw puzzle groups from Poland, which are hereafter called Cooperating Entities.
- Participation in PPM on the terms set out in the Rules and Regulations is tantamount to the acceptance by the participants of the Pyrkon Puzzle Masters© terms set out in these Rules and Regulations.
- Expressing appropriate consents required by the provisions of the Rules is completely voluntary, however necessary to participate in PPM.
- PPM Participants voluntary agree to: processing by the Organiser of the participant’s personal data (full name, sports result, e-mail address, telephone number, address of residence) to the extent necessary to carry out the PPM, in accordance with the applicable law on the protection of personal data, recording by the Organiser the image of participants in photographic and film documentation of the course and resolution of the PPM, publication on social media and websites of the Organiser and Cooperating Entities of the image and names of participants. The Participant has the right to access their data, correct it, limit processing and withdraw consent at any time. Restriction of processing or withdrawal of consent to processing is tantamount to resignation from participation in PPM.
- Taking part in PPM is free of charge for people who qualified through the Preliminaries.
- Participants are required to follow the rules of Poznań World Trade Center, Pyrkon 2026 Fan Convention terms of service, rule of law, general health and safety and fire regulations, as well as recommendations and guidelines of the Organisers in the scope not covered by other rules.
- Table choice depends on the time result in the preliminaries.
- Overseeing the smooth run of PPM, there will be a two person commission chosen by the Organiser, supported by volunteers.
II. AIM OF PYRKON PUZZLE MASTERS©
- The basic aim of PPM is to select a winner in the individual category, who will receive the title of Champion of 2026 Pyrkon Puzzle Masters©.
- Additionally, PPM also aims to popularise jigsaw puzzle solving as a pastime.
- Promoting integration of puzzle lovers through organising national preliminaries.
III. POZNAN PUZZLE MASTERS© PRELIMINARIES PARTICIPATION AND ORGANISATION RULES
- Participating in the PPM Preliminaries is voluntary.
- To qualify as PPM Preliminaries, puzzle solving contests organised by Cooperating Entities must follow these rules:
- Communicate with the Organiser about the will to organise PPM Preliminaries.
- Organise a jigsaw puzzle solving contest in cooperation with any jigsaw puzzle company, including an individual category for 500 pieces.
- There has to be at least 15 participants.
- Inform the Organiser about the date and potentially time of the Preliminaries before December 31, 2025.
- Send to the Organiser links and graphics to be posted on websites and social media, so that the Organiser can promote the PPM Preliminaries.
- PPM Preliminaries take place on the date provided by the Collaborator, however no sooner than 02/11/2025 and no later than 31/05/2026.
- The contest must provide uniform circumstances to all participants, including the same start time and the same jigsaw puzzle design.
- People taking part in the Preliminaries can be of any age, however to qualify for PPM the Participant must be at least 18 years of age on the day of the Preliminaries.
- People taking part in the Preliminaries can hold any citizenship, however to qualify for PPM the Participant must hold Polish citizenship.
- Other rules for participation and judging guidelines are stated in specific event rules, provided by the Collaborator organising the contest.
- The prize for each of PPM Preliminaries is qualifying for the final of Pyrkon Puzzle Masters© taking place during Pyrkon 2026 Fan Convention, a 3-day ticket to the Convention, and a 50% discount for a companion ticket for Pyrkon 2026 Fan Convention.
- The prize for Preliminaries is given to three participants with the best scores, according to the rules of Preliminaries they participated in, and given that they are eligible according to the Rules of PPM.
- In case of participant resignation from the PPM qualifiers during the Preliminaries, the qualifier prize is given to the next participant with the best score, according to the contest result.
- In case of a later resignation, the Organiser reserves the right to use the “wildcard” system to pass the qualifier prize to chosen participants from any Preliminaries.
- In case when PPM qualifier is won by a person who has already qualified for PPM in a different Preliminary, the qualifier prize is given to the next participant with the best score, according to the contest result.
- The qualifier prize is handed over by a representative of the Organiser or a person connected with the Cooperating Entities chosen by the Organiser..
- After qualifying for the prize, the participant has to share their contact data with the Organiser, that is: full name, e-mail address, phone number and address.
- If the participant resigns their qualifier prize for any reason, they automatically lose any right to claims from the organisers, including a financial equivalent of the qualifier prize.
IV. PYRKON PUZZLE MASTERS© TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
- Participation in PPM is voluntary and free of charge.
- To take part in Pyrkon Puzzle Masters© you have to qualify by earning one of the top three spots in the PPM Preliminaries happening between November 2025 and May 2026 (further places in the ranking may qualify in case of participant resignation or winners not meeting the rules of PPM) and being present at the PPM final taking place at Pyrkon 2026 Fan Convention.
- Time of Pyrkon Puzzle Masters© final may change, however all qualified Participants will be notified in advance, by email or by phone.
- The number of Participants depends on the number of Preliminaries.
- Jigsaw puzzles and prizes are provided by the Organiser.
- The Participants will solve new puzzles, never published before.
- The Participants keep the puzzle sets they use during PPM.
- Pyrkon Puzzle Masters© only have an individual category.
- To take part in PPM, Participant must be at least 18 years of age on the day of the Preliminaries.
- Only Polish nationals can participate in PPM.
- By joining PPM, the Participant is aware that if they take unlawful actions during the PPM or violate these Regulations and the Terms of the Pyrkon Fan Convention, the Participant will be liable for damages to the Organiser or other participants, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Pyrkon Puzzle Masters© takes place at 12:00-13:15 on June 20, 2026 during Pyrkon Fan Convention in Poznań, Poland, at the World Trade Centre.
- Participants must appear at the Organiser’s tables at 11:30 at the latest to check the attendance list, occupy designated seats and hear the rules of PPM.
- All participants receive an identical, previously unpublished puzzle set of 500 pieces.
- The objective is to solve the jigsaw puzzle in 75 minutes.
- Solving will take place between 12:00–13:15. The time will not be extended. If the Participant doesn’t solve the puzzle in the given time, the number of solved pieces counted by the Organiser will be considered the result. 3 or more pieces connected count as solved.
- Participants solve the puzzle individually.
- It is allowed to use up to two trays for sorting puzzle pieces, each of a size not exceeding A3 (420mm x 297mm).
- There is one table for each participant.
V. SETTLEMENT OF THE WINNINGS
- Each time a Participant solves the puzzle within the allotted time will be written down on the form by the volunteer and recorded by the Organiser’s committee in an online scoreboard. The puzzle can be solved in up to 75 minutes.
- If no Participant solves the puzzle, PPM ends after the specified time. The final ranking depends on the number of solved pieces as counted by the volunteers and the Organiser.
- In the event of a lost or missing puzzle piece, the volunteer records the time of solving, adding a note on the form about the number of missing pieces. In the case of a temporary draw, the Participant with a more complete jigsaw puzzle will receive a higher standing.
- In case of more than 10 pieces missing, the solving attempt will be considered invalid and the Participant will not be ranked for independent reasons.
- The winners will be selected according to the order of the fastest solving of the puzzle in the allotted time or, after the lapse of the allotted time, by the largest number of solved pieces.
VI. PRIZES
- The first three places from each category will receive cash and in-kind prizes provided by the Organiser.
- Prizes:
- First place – the title of the Pyrkon Puzzle Masters© Champion in jigsaw puzzle solving, a voucher for a trip to the 2026 European Puzzle Championships in Turkiye (with a maximum value of PLN 5,000 – covering a round trip, accommodation and starting fee), a commemorative statuette, a diploma, a jigsaw puzzle and other prizes in kind.
- Second place – the title of the 1st Vice-Champion of Pyrkon Puzzle Masters© in solving jigsaw puzzles, a cash prize of PLN 1,000, a commemorative statuette, a diploma, a jigsaw puzzle and other prizes in kind.
- Third place – the title of the 2nd Vice-Champion of Pyrkon Puzzle Masters© in solving jigsaw puzzles, a cash prize of PLN 500, a commemorative statuette, a diploma, a jigsaw puzzle and other prizes in kind.
- The Organiser shall pay the relevant tax on the value of the prize, in accordance with the regulations in force on the date of awarding the prize.
- If the participant resigns their prize for any reason, they automatically lose any right to claims from the Organisers, including a financial equivalent of the prize.
VII. FINAL PROVISIONS
- Violation of the Rules and Regulations is tantamount to disqualification of the Participant.
- During the Pyrkon Puzzle Masters© these Rules can be viewed at the Organiser’s.
- In matters related to the course of PPM, not provided for in these Regulations, the Organiser shall have the decisive vote.
- The Organiser reserves the right to make changes to the Regulations in the event of important and unforeseen circumstances that could cause such changes.
Information regarding the processing of personal data of Pyrkon Puzzle Masters© participants, 20/06/2026:
- The data is administered by “Druga Era” Association located in Poznań, ul. Kaliska 22a/23. KRS [National Court Register] 0000207209.
- We process personal data in the Pyrkon Puzzle Masters© 2026 competition in connection with the implementation of our statutory objectives in the field of: name(s), surname, gender, telephone number, e-mail address, address of residence and correspondence and sports score. These data will be placed in the IT systems of the data administrator.
- We do not process sensitive data.
- Personal data will be processed for the purpose of conducting PPM and related activities.
- The recipients of personal data are the board, employees and other volunteers of the “Druga Era” Association who are persons involved in the implementation of the statutory tasks of the Association and entities providing the administrator with IT, legal and accounting services supporting Pyrkon 2026 Fan Convention.
- The basis for processing is voluntary and informed consent, expressed when registering in the competition (Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR), the concluded contract (Article 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR) and the legal interest of the administrator (Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR).
- We do not transfer personal data outside the country or to international organizations; in the event that personal data is processed through the Google Forms form – the data from the form is collected outside the European Economic Area – in the USA, by trusted partners providing Internet services and having appropriate security certificates (Privacy Shield). In the interest of the security of your data, we would like to inform you that the submitted application will be migrated to our server and removed from the partner’s database within 21 days from the date of submitting the application.
- Your personal data will be stored from the moment of their acquisition or the last update made by you until the cessation of civil claims and public law obligations of their processing, including tax and fiscal obligations.
- You have the right of access the content of your data, the right to rectify them, the right to erasure, the right to restriction of processing, the right to data portability, the right to object, the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of any processing performed on the basis of the consent prior to its withdrawal.
- You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection, if you consider that our processing of personal data violates the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April 2016. (GDPR) or other provisions on the processing of personal data.
