Mark Morrison will visit Pyrkon!
Some of you should be familiar with creations of H.P. Lovecraft, especially “The Call of Cthulhu”. It’s a story that started a whole series about this creature. On this year Pyrkon we are honored to host Mark Morrison, who is known among others for writing scenarios for the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game. In the Role-Playing Zone you will be able to talk to Mark about horrors and take part in a game he will master.
Few words about Mark Morrison
Morrison lives in Melbourne with writer Penelope Love and two Hounds of Tindalos. His real passion is roleplaying games. He is a co-owner of Campaign Coins, producing metal coins and tokens for tabletop games, including licensed products for Call of Cthulhu, Pathfinder, Starfinder, Shadow of the Demon Lord and other RPGs. He also helped found Australia’s largest tournament of Warhammer 40,000 that 200 players took part!
Games are pure pleasure to him
Morrison has also worked on computer games for Atari, THQ and other publishers, including Transformers (PS2) and De Blob (Wii). He wrote dialogue for the science fiction tactics game Ticket to Earth and worked on the storyline for the official Call of Cthulhu computer game being developed by Cyanide Studio for Focus Home Interactive, one of the most anticipated games of 2018.
Horror in Orient Express
His work includes scenarios in H.P. Lovecraft’s Dreamlands, Mansions of Madness, Arkham Unveiled, Escape from Innsmouth and other books from Chaosium, including editing books for the Stormbringer and Elric roleplaying games. His new Call of Cthulhu book (released March 2018) is Reign of Terror, set during the French Revolution. We also cannot forget he edited the massive boxed campaign Horror on the Orient Express.
