From Kaer Morhen to Night City – Zapalski’s brick worlds at Pyrkon!

Still giddy with joy, we announce that Michał “Zapalski” Zapała – a man who has been using bricks as a medium worthy of the most outstanding artists for over a quarter of a century – is set to visit Pyrkon this year. As brick maniacs, you probably know the “Klocki z Zapałem” channel or are familiar with what the “Zbudujmy To” crew does, so you know very well that a lot of amazing things are being prepared for you to enjoy!

Michał’s specialty is creating extensive, vibrant dioramas. These constructions will transport you directly into the heart of the urban hustle and bustle, the post-apocalyptic wastelands of Fallout or to the Slavic forests from the Witcher’s adventures. There are no random bricks used, each build is a thoughtful and refined story. All details, from the unusual texture of the wall all the way to figurine placement, have a purpose – and that is to create a specific atmosphere, allowing the viewer almost literally to “enter” the world in the diorama.

Zapalski is a master of advanced building techniques. He can conjure up shapes that the ready-made instructions have not yet allowed for. Fortunately for us, Michał’s passion is not only creating the builds, but also sharing his knowledge with others.

Thanks to this, at this year’s Pyrkon you will be able to:

• See with your own eyes the intricate constructions, so far known only from videos on the Internet.
• Listen to a lecture, during which Michał will reveal the backstage of the creation of some of his dioramas. Surely our guest has a lot of amazing anecdotes up his sleeve. 
• Take part in workshops, conducted together with Janek Trąbka on Saturday evening.
