Are you counting the hours for the program to be announced? To make your waiting more enjoyable, we present you another lecturer, this time from the Far East Fantasy Section. This is Katarzyna “Irienna” Żarnowska – a doctoral student who seeks out aspects of Japanese culture in popular culture.
A devotee of popular culture
Katarzyna “Irienna” Żarnowska is a PhD student at the Jagiellonian University, exploring various aspects of Japanese culture, especially those related to popular culture. She loves to examine gender nuances and bizarre connections between life and literary or film fiction. She is deeply convinced that popular culture can teach us a lot if only we look at it from a certain angle.
