Sounds of Slavic and Nordic legends: Svita band to play at Pyrkon
Close your eyes and imagine a magical realm of sound, where the sound of folk melodies intertwine with epic compositions inspired by mythology and medieval fantasy. That’s where sounds like you’ve never heard before can be heard.
Now open your eyes, you are at Pyrkon 2024. You meet the Svita group, led by artist Paweł Dyjan, which combines a variety of musical genres to create unforgettable tales of Nordic fjords, lakes shrouded in dark mystery, and seas full of legends.
Who are the members of the Svita band?
Svita is not just a musical ensemble, it is a journey through the world of sounds, starting with the soft sounds of Nordic landscapes. Agnieszka Pawełczyk and Julia Jagos, armed with vocal skills and a violin, spin mystical narratives that reflect the beauty of nature and the mystery of medieval legends.
Rafał Dziewiątka brings out the sounds of the guitar, bouzouki and a ftin whistle, adding epic momentum and emphasizing each story with strong accents. Kuba Krzus, a passionate bassist, weaves bass vibes into the songs and adds accordion accents to them.
Paweł Dyjan, the heart and founder of the band, a virtuoso of the hurdy-gurdy, cymbal and shaman drum. His talent turns Svita’s music into an image of nature, where light plays a key role, taking various forms – from the reflections on the lake to the brilliance of the stars in the sky.
In addition to creating their own music and playing live, they also offer composing and performing songs for movies or computer games.
